Hi friends, many times I had this error with airbag modules from Mazda and Ford:

U3000 - INTERNAL MODULE ERROR

Sometimes the problem was with the seatbelt pretensioners, if I put a resistor, even with the correct value (2.2 to 3.2 ohms it's ok) sometimes I retrieve this U3000 error, solution for me was the next procedure:

1.- Disconnect the airbag module.

2.- Remove the resistor from the seatbelt pretensioners or disconnect them if you replaced with new ones.

3.- Reinstall the airbag module with seatbelt pretensioners disconnected.

4.- Scan the airbag module for Dtc, now you have U3000 code and seatbelt pretensioners Dtc's

5.- Erase Dtc's and now you can erase successfully the U3000 Dtc but seatbelts pretensioners errors remains active.

6.- Turn off ignition switch and reconnect the seatbelt pretensioners or reinstall resistors.

7.- Turn ignition switch on and scan and erase Dtc.

In modules with Infineon mcu sometimes the problem is with pin 61 (P0.3), if this pin goes to ground you will retrieve dtc U3000.

To successfully read this mcu need to lift pins 60 (P10.1) and 62 (P10.2) and connect it together to the programmer (B6 pin in xprog as example), need to lift those pins because they are originally grounded and here comes the problem: sometimes when we lift these pins accidentally short the pin 61 to ground and the module retrieves the DTC U3000 , need to lift these pins, check if the pin 61 is not shorted to ground and clean carefully any trace of solder paste.

Unfortunatelly sometimes the problem is the ic driver that controls the deployment of the airbags and pretensioners, in this case the better solution is the replacement of the airbag module. I never tried to repair because is very risky, we can deploy an airbag by accident if the ic driver is not good or if we make any error with soldering.

If we clear the crash data and retrieves dtc U3000 maybe we cleared most than needed but is easy to check this: rollback the original saved file and if the dtc U3000 is not present then we have a bad clearing.

I share this as my OWN experience with this kind of airbag modules, if someone have another solution please share with all.

I hope this can help someone...

I have Xprog Box original 5.7.8, UPA usb original, Macaca programmer by Autokey. Any of them can read and write successfully Infineon and Mac.

Program original crash file back to module and if you have no u3000 then you clear too much

if possible in new airbag.
Last week I put another airbag dump to a different car and I throw mistake....
or the scanner does not enter, communication error
even if you put the same reference of the module
example;
renault airbag logan 285584207r to renault airbag Sandero 285584207r

Does this only happens if resistance is not correct from seatbelts or seatbelts not replaced ?
Or seatbelts and everything srs can be all good but there can be u3000 code anyways ?

There is always an extended code with U3000. If your scanner supports it will show like U3000-49 or U3000-51 or U3000-xx and so on. There it will pinpoint problem. Can be hardware malfunction, but most commonly software incompatibility, like what happened to above poster...

Your solution work 100% with U3000 from SRS unit: EB3T-14B321-EF Ranger Wiltrack 2018

Hi

I have fault U3000:49 in airbag module Ford Transit 2013
C3BT-14B321-AB
Car never been crash. Just randomly came up fault and cant get reset.
Is it a problem with corrupted data in XC2361 56F ? or module hardware defective?

Does somebody has virgin file for this type of airbag module ?

Hello.
I have a similar problem.
Ford connect
Module: DT1T-14B321-DF
DTC: U3000:49-80
Tricks with pretensioners didn't work. Can someone help with this or point me in the right direction?
