If you have bought an 800 recently and come against some problems with flashing then this might be the fix for you

I was told my box was 75 bootloader but ok for 72 aswell i tried to flash and got the ' NO CA FOUND '

Some times it would boot up with dreamup in 'serial http mode' but could never find a working IP and failed when trying to flash,

The rest of time it would boot up in dreamup with the 'NO CA FOUND SeCOND STAGE BOOTLOADER' this would allow me to use enforcer but came up against the 'FILE TOO BIG' problem

If you have problems like these try my method below it worked for me

Ok with help from Superman at supersatshop this is what i done and it worked

connect dreambox to router
use crossover cable connect router to laptop
open dreamup
connect null modem
connect power to dreambox while holding silver power button till dreamup has fully loaded
find IP of box (i used dcc) mine edded up being a very strang 192.168.1.6
put this in dreamup
open enforcer
load image and flash

I have found the Gemini images are useless as i done all above and it failed to boot up again so best to use another i have nabilosat and all is fine here

Again thanks Superman for your hours of help

Folks, I am lost and about to give up.

After some problems I decided to install a new image. The result was the 'CA no card found' error.

The box doesn't 'stop' and doesn't show a IP.
DreamUp seems to connect, but any SSL file results in a 'file too big' error.

PLEASE HELP.

OK...I know this is a very trivial questions but can someone tell me what a null cable is and do I need it if I can connect wireless via my router to my DB? I'm having the same problem but can't figure out how to connect in order to upload a new image. My web interface is not working for some reason. I feel like a moron asking these questions because I am a techie by trade but teh DB has ma at a loss.

I have a dm800 that I am supposed to do development on. I did not know it was a clone. I didn't even know clones existed (it isn't mine, I just have to develop on it). I built a new dreambox image from source last night and flashed it. Now I have the CA not found error. So far I cannot get it to do anything. To make matters worse, I do not have a windows PC either, as I am a linux/python developer by trade.

Seriously beginning to wonder if it cannot be reprogrammed with a flash programmer or something...

Anyway. That is my story, and the first obligatory post before you can see anything. Seems I will be around for a while while building this thing.

Alright, in case someone else passes this way and needs a solution.

The box that you run DreamUP on MUST have a working network connection. Even if you don't use it. This is, strictly speaking, a bug in DreamUP.

I unearthed an old Pentium I in my garage, installed Windows 98 on it, built a null-modem cable from an old modem cable, and immediately got the error: '' is not a valid integer. Finally got tired of transferring files by floppy/cdrom, so I installed an old PCI network card, got the network going, and lo, DreamUP started working. A few tries later, and the dreambox clone successfully claimed the IP configured by DreamUP. Connected to that IP with a web browser, uploaded boot loader version 69, and voila, it boots again.

Now it complains that the hardware could not be verified, on screen. But I do not care too much, for I can telnet to it now, I have a root login, and I know about the linux kernel :-) And I made a copy of the software it came with, which I can write back to /dev/mtdblock/3 if I have to.

Its good to know there is always a work around to revive

i may try the 2.01 sim in my diablo wifi twinbee socket & see if i can read/write via cas3 programmer

Is there anyway to erase flash these boxes, i have been trying for weeks now to flash bonesys dump of his 14 day epg gemini image, i can only assume that there is something wrong with the dump because i can flash ANY other image to the box with ANY dm800 compatible version of dreamup....but not his one, i allways get 'invalid image, box will be unusable now' on the web interface or 'invalid image 010!!!' when using dreamup...im pulling my hair out over this but no one seems to be able to offer me an alternative dump of the image.

New on this!!!

Thanks.

Everything works.

You find the solution in this:

What can i do?

John-2k10

File to big, yay, yippee.. dm800 clone.

My disaster.

Crossed lan cable and working rs232 cable connected.

Using universal dreamup 1.3.3.4 with http and telnet
Status, Box is in networked http mode.
Error No CA found by 2nd stage loader etcetera

Log,
box type DM800
Enabled recovery of bad sectors
No CA found by 2nd stage loader....

Result, have an ip 10.0.0.2, gateway 10.0.0.112 from dreamup and can ping it, have telnet / tftpd and http web with flash uploading.
No ftp service active.

However, web flash 100% and still no go, dreambox display only says error.
Terminal say nand-set-pen, start flashing..., finished.
Also strange, with telnet his advanced setup util, settings are saved because i can see the action in the terminal but it's gone by a dbox restart.

Hi

Unfortunately i am not able to use serial connexion on my DM 800. I tried a lot of Dreamup version without any succes.
Who can give me the right oinout for null modem working with DM 800
Thanks a lot for your help

Use two female D9 connectors.
Best way is to keep the cable short,
something like +/- 50 cm/1.62 feet / 19.44 inches.

Connect,
pin 2 to 3
pin 3 to 2
pin 5 to 5

if you prefer a USB rs232 cable search Google, dreambox rs232 usb cable.

John-2k10

Other issue,
My experience is that the dreambox (clone) rs232 chip is very fragile.
There nearly no rx/tx security's to the smd chip Sipex SP3243E (R1-in pin 4 and T1-out pin 9), only two smd capacitors, the line of the DB9 rx/tx pins going striate to the chip.
Also the print lines to the chip are very thin.
So, my advice is, be sure to use an rs232 cable with the right connections and never pull it out/in when the box is in on state. .

Thanks for all advices.
It works now again.
What I did:
1) made new null modem cabel: only pins 2-3,3-2,5-5,chasis
2) set serial interface on PC:57600,8,no,1,no
3) laptop and db800 with patch cabel to router
4) dreamUP start - mark network and start connect
5) hold power button on db800, then power on (220V)
6) start flash
7) after flashing ready , switch of/on

later I was also able to change image over dcc software (network)

unfortunately my SATA HDD WD3200BEVT will not be recognized
(checked with linux pc - is 100% ok)
but dm800 says : no hd connected

some ideas ?

Try and get access to a pc with an RS232 port on it. Some people can flash from a laptop using the usb RS232. I have never been able to manage this. Also try it with a crossover cable if you've been using a staight ethernet.

I also had the "file to big" error.

But I found a way around it.
First of you need the null modem cable and the "broken" box need to be connected to the network.
Second use the patched version of Dreamup included in the zip file in romy's post.
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f34/no-ca-found-file-big-fix-73198/index4.html#post556129

Start the patched DreamUp. Make sure network is checked (enabled) and next push the Connect button.
Then power up your dreambox. Upload should start.
After the upload the "No CA found" message should appear. Don't click OK and no need to start enforcer or DM800_repair.
INSTEAD open a browser and go to the ipnumber of the dreambox (it is on the display of the box)
The bootloader webinterface should appear and you can flash the box from there.

It worked for me, I hope it will work for you too.

Good luck,
Scanner

My DB was crashed so badly that it corrupted the bootloader (power on the DB and it displays "error" in less than 1 second. I managed to use RS232/LAN method to revive the bootloader and subsequently my entire box.

Thanks for all your help and great tips friends.

I used part of every method shown in this thread,
So credit goes to anyone who shared with us his/her experience.

The aim of the exersise is:
A- To get an IP address and load it into the Web Browser
B- To reflash the DM800 with a fresh nfi image or Bootloader.

This is how I got it to work with the clone unit that I have:

1- Connected Null modem Cable (9 pin RS232) to DM800.
2- Start DreamUp.
3- Connect power to DM800 while holding down silver button on DM800.
4- Wait for DreamUp to load.
5- If you get the Error message about no 2ndstage CA found, (repeat the steps 2-4 until you get an IP address on the DM800 screen).
6- I have an 8port switch connected to my router, so all my connection was to the switch instead on the Router.
7- Connect computer to switch using Cross LAN cable.
8- Connect DM800 to switch using normal LAN cable.
9- Power up DM800 while holding down the front silver button until Dream Multimedia or STOP is displayed.
10- Start up your Browser (I used Firefox).
11- Enter the IP address that you got from DM800 into the Browser ( e.g. http://192.168.0.125)
........Wait for the special loading screen to come up.
12- Select firmware upgrade.
13- Select location of the file location that you want load from your computer and click on Flash.
14- Wait for the blue scale to finish loading on your browser.
15- You can restart your DM800
or
16- flash it with a bootloader of your selection then restart DM800.

Good Luck

"ERR01: NO CA FOUND" tell you that your CLONE box cannot run the original image. You need a NULL Modem and Ethernet cable connected and the Dreamup application running in connecting mode before power on the box. Once the box turn and acknowledge a NULL Modem cable attached you will enter the flashing mode and shouldn't see "ERR01: NO CA FOUND". You will see the "found dm800hd box" at the Dreamup application windows.

CAUTION: Check your cable.
NOTE: You should use a RS232 NULL Modem cable not just RS232 cable. There are different type of RS232 cable.

Having bad nightmare flashing the clone DM800, I managed to get it done. Using Dreamup version 1.3.3.4, firstly run dreamup, click connect button, connect Rss232 null cable modem to your box, anyway I did connect my network cable also to run together, and at this point connect you dreambox power supply without power on and press power button on your dreambox and on the power supply and wait until half of the green bar on dreamup show and only then you release the power button on the dreambox, and here you can see after finishing the button flash will show, and here you just click flash and locate the nfi file to flash on..here you go, with happy ending.

Note:- At the early stage My dreambox 800hd display error message. and with the above mentioned text I managed to get it done. Please note that do not release the power chrome button on the dreambox until a least half of the green progress bar on the dreamup being done.

If you have problems like these try my method below it worked for me
does this method works on win7 64bit via usb converter

File too big problem during flashing. Anyone can help?

Good luck,
Scanner

The problem is web browser got error when u open it. Once No Ca error, IP didn't shown at Dreambox. Then, there is no way you can flash it. For me, I can connect dreambox using Dreamup however I still cannot open the browser using the IP of dreambox as shown in Dreamup. Now, the bottom line is how to solve the error of "file too big".

Start the patched DreamUp ,select entras / recover bad sectors & start DM800_repair

If u can see "bad sectors been marked" . U can flash the image now. Try it.

Are you talking about the new DM800PRO Satellite Receiver which come the Tuner: HIG003 REV:M (HD channel 8PSK/QPSK Symbol rate 1-45M/S)?

For "err01 No CA Found" most likely related to the image software that you are using to flash. Can I ask whether where you get the software image? Was the software being patched for CLONE dm800? Or have you ever try to patch after flashing with original software image.

Yes it is dm800 satalite with the tuner you refer to Its a clone, i got it from dvbseller), i am not sure if it is a pro as it was just sent out as a direct relacement for my other dm800 which glitched on hd channels. I get my images from dm800sim2.com and yes they are pre patched (I think). I was unsure where to get original images. I just used the images I used on my previous dm800 as they flashed easily on that one with no problems, can pre patched images not be used now as I? This is the image I prefer to use and which I had on previous dm800 UNOFFICIAL DREAM ELITE V.133DV3 PHOENIX EDITION. Can you reccommend a solution

"system error hardware could not be verified", related to the image you putting on have the genuine dreambox plugin installed where it checks if the dreambox is a clone or not.

I have managed to get box working now with another image, but still my box will not boot up with anything other then bl69 even though originally it had bl76. As for the Genuine Dreambox plugin, this always says "security service not running" even though box is now working, obviously something is a miss or corrupt in my box, i just do not know what :-(

When you power up your dreambox and dreamup starts uploading the basic bootloader let the blue progress bar get atleast half way and then press flash, should let you flash whatever image/bootloader you want then. Hope that helps

I had some serious trouble trying to get my dm800 running again with these no ca error & file to big errors.
I had upgraded my sim card to ferrari using the 'free-ferrari-upgrade-1-1.nfi'. This had been working fine for a few weeks, until I flashed the wrong image this is when I first got the 'no ca error'.
I tried flashing all sorts of images and bootloaders but the 'no ca error' wouldnt go away.

In the end I connected via serial and lan cable. Ticked use network in dreamup and flashed the 'free-ferrari-upgrade-1-1.nfi' back to my box, by entering the ip address on the screen of my box and displayed in dreamup int my web browser. At first it hung on dhcp while booting up. i removed the network cable and rebooted. This time it booted up properly, I ran the ferrari upgrade tool from the plugins menu. It said upgrade successful. I now rebooted and could flash a new ferrari image again. Maybe this is of use to somebody

yesterday i was have success with dead dm800 clone SIM2.01
i use SSL76D-20101219.nfi loader and then without reseting you can load image witch you want.Use second stage pack and full cros RS232 cable.
Both method work well.
The problem with error NO CA found and FILE IS TOO BIG make me crazy all three days .
THE BIG PROBLEM of clone DM800 is simcard holder - there is no good contact with sim.I was press and hold on the simholder and then start dreamup - all errors is go on.Card slot is loose and can not pressed well to contact pins.

I am assisting my colleague to get his clone DM800HD to work.
Very weird behaviour compared to the other DM800HD i had recovered earlier.

This time, the DreamUP does not response, no detection, no dialog box pop up complaining "No CA..."

Was told he had use DreamUp to replace the shipped TGP firmware with DreamElite sim2.01, and dont like the layout, and flashed some firmware downloaded from OpenPLI, and got stucked since.

Tried the DMM logo clicking fix, Tried Enforcer..
Cant get even an IP at all..

I am totally lost.. anyone able provide a solution?

Thanks in Advance

I found the solution for myself..
Sharing is Caring..

What u need:
1) 1 working DM800HD
2) 1 null modem cable
3) 1 working LAN network link
4) 1 PC

Connect the working DM800HD to DreamUp without the network option.

Once the DM800 detected, wait till the Flash button to be un-greyed.

Unplug the current null modem cable and reconnect to the powered-off faulty set, and plug in the LAN cable.
Plug in the power to the faulty unit.

Wait for 30sec and click flash.
The OLED will display the ** Serial Setup Mode **
And also display the DHCP obtained IP

Use the web interface to flash the patched firmware.

Enjoy!!

Newbies, don't PM me for details, I wont reply.
Just read more on the commonly available steps yourself.

The above procedure is for those who had issue with non-responsive DreamUp recovery.

Hello, I'm new here and newbie with clone 800

I'm from Georgia and sorry for my English

yesterday become DM800 as gift (used one), with some very slow arabic Gemini on board. Checked the BL version and it was BL73. I have changed the image with this one:

Merlin-2.Excalibur_OE-1.6-dm800-20101010_SIM_BL70_OCP.nfi

After one day testing found some problem with 4-5 DVB-S2 transponders on 9E. via telnet checked again the BL version and it was 76r1.

after image OpenBlackHole DM800 - I have the same problem - "File to Big"

so, which image can I use with my damaged sim?

via WI I have uploaded my old Merlin-2.Excalibur_OE-1.6-dm800-20101010_SIM_BL70_OCP.nfi - NOT WORKING, same error - NO-CA

can someone share BL72 file? (a small file, only bootloader)

Hello people :-)

Good news I found how to flash the pain in the Azz from the famous ca not found (dreambox 800hd pvr)...

You will find on the pages above some patched dream up
and some files that may usefull but for me it work differently... here the story

1)Open dream up

2)you will need a null cable modem and a network connection (rj45 via router in my case).plug the r232 cable

3)connect dream up

4)power on your dreambox 800

5) once you will see that your box is connected you can identify on the boxscreen the ip address

I know even if the network should not work, once you get hooked via the r232 cable(null modem) it will be ok

6) go on a web page and write the IP address

7) MOST IMPORTANT PART...LOOK at THE BOOTLOADER YOU NEED...it's at the end of the text on webpage

in my case it was a #59 so here is the link for an image
Officiel Image ( 500 s / 800 HD ) By soirnet.com (http://forum.soirnet.org/showthread.php?4066-Officiel-Image-%28-500-s-800-HD-%29-By-soirnet.com)

It seem's that even if an image(firmware) is good the bootloader is your viagra

7)Then do the upgrade firmware and flash it

8) A brand new working box

I still need to get used to the cccam and stuff as it's just two days I started playing with dreambox

Hope it will work for you folks and et me know
see ya

ultrakiasu

hi Bro, anyway to flash DM800 without having the CA error coming out?

First, you must understand why the error appear in the first place.

If you bought the original non-cloned DM800, the bootloader is preloaded in the official Enigma2 firmware, and required conditional Access (CA) cards to work. The Dreambox DM800 is protected by a security chip is designed to stop clone builders from selling receivers which can run the enigma based software which runs on these boxes.

Obviously the clone makers had their own SIM cards which make loading of enigma software on their clone sets possible.
Thus there is a need to make the firmware to load drivers for these special SIM card.

As long the firmware u had flashed included the bootloader driver for the matching SIM card (1.0 or 2.01), then you should not have the CA errors.

Me too with same problem.

I appreciate you guys help, since i'm around this subject for many hours and nights.

CA NOT FOUND error appears when i flashed wrong image. After that, following suggestions from here, i tried to flash with null modem and lan cable. The error changed to
LOOK AT WWW. DM7020.COM
CA NOT FOUND

I bought my 800 clone with indication from seller that would have ferrari sim card ssl78f. Now I have some doubts about that since on the clone screen, when in http mode, is shows the message
FERRARI SIM CARD SSL76FF

Also on the webinterface, at the bottom of the screen where firmware upgrade is made, it is written:
Bootloader Version: Dreambox Second Stage Loader BUILD #59, built 20080509

I tried DreamUP_patched_by_forhike_and_natas and many other dreamups, getting error
"No CA found by 2nd stage loader, please contact support at dream-multimedia"
When i tried enforce, flash button is highlighted,I choose image, but I get error FILE TOO BIG
I think this error appears because dreamup disconnects himself.
With these dreamups, i get an ip adress on the screan, what allows me to try webinterface.

By webinterface, Flash runs untill the end (100.00 %) but when i restart clone, the error LOOK AT WWW. DM7020.COM persists on the screen

With dreamup 13.3.3.6 and 1.3.3.7, I don't get error, but after uploading flashloader, it stops in
UPLOAD COMPLETED, WAITING FOR ACKNOWLEDGE
if i force flash with enforce or dm800repair, i get
WAITING CHECKSUM and stops here. With these dreamups, i dont have any ip adress on the scren to try web interface

I've done quite a number of DM800 CA ERROR and solved with enforcer or patch dreamup without a problem. Theres 1 one set(DM800)recently i have done everything like what you did,but still fail. Last option what i did was, swap simcard from my working box to the ca error box..And you know what the faulty box start and running again..I just need to either Dreamup v1334 or use lans cable>ip>mozilla>and flash newnigma2 bl82 image..Done as a Happy Man.

These is a complete report of what i'm facing...

Thanks for your answer.

If i well understand, you put a simcard from a working dreambox to the one with the problem.
Then she started working.
What you done next?

You stay with the dreambox which didnt have the problem sotped because don't have simcard, you bought another simcard, or you manage to use the simcard which was in the broken dreambox?

Just to know what should I do. Maybe I have to buy another simcard, since I don't have any other dreambox.

Someone knows where to buy?

The sim 2.01 is not commonly sold as local seller will not get them unless they have very good relationship with their source.

Even that most source in china are basically reseller & not direct distributor or factory. Only those who work with the factory may have chance to get hold of the sim.

I may be wrong as your source could be a big time reseller but to what I know, there are only a few of them.

Even you search on website selling DM box, the assy they sell only the tuner, adapter, remote. Not the sim card.

Sorry... I did not see your this post.

You are on ferrari sim? Please note that you can only use ferrari patch image & not the sim2.01 image.

Clone box commonly use sim2.01. Ferrari sim is a total failure which the chinese try to come out to counter sim2.01 but they have fail.

Sim2.01 has been widely known & has it full support by many other in term of patch image.

The error came after a webinterface image install image was ok but after the first reboot ,the box displayed the error ! I have tried to install a new image(DreamElite) because the box was very slow and heating to much(i used a cooler against heating_tuner!)...probably because of an old image installed by the seller...Thanks very much for help !Best wishes to all !

FIXED for me !!!! Hi all, I had the file too big error for days, I eventually discovered that the fault was the serial cable I was using. I bought from ebay a NULL MODEM serial cable. (See ebay item 180481856158) With this cable, I didn't even need to use the enforcer program, dreamup worked as expected, it immediately recognised the box, the status bar increased and the flash button became available automatically. This time when I selected the file, it DID NOT report a file too big error. I'm very happy!

by the way. I plugged this cable in to a USB to serial convertor, and flashed with a modern laptop with USB ports only and no serial port.

I hope this helps

Dear folks!

I have a cloned 800 SE and it is now showing this error "R01: NO CA FOUND". Yes I did system update last night and today it is broken (yes my fault and it serves me right!).

So what I have done so far to fix this:
1. Searched on the internet and found these tools and lots of recommended steps
2. Dreamup Tool
3. Downloaded 210-SSL82-LT7-Patched-By-Ferret-dm800se-20000101.nfi
4. Connected the DM800se to my lapton using USB service port behind the DM800se and other end to the laptop USB interface.
5. My Windows 7 detected the new port and installed all the drivers. The device is a Port - Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM4)
6. Rebooted Windows 7 machine
7. Switched off DM800se
8. Start Dreamup Tool
9. Click Connect and it connects
10. Ticked Box "Use Network"
11. Local IP (PC) shows my laptop IP address
12. Select one: I have selected my laptop IP address
13. Remote IP (Box): Blank because the existing IP is not even issued to any device!
14. Serial Port: COM4
15. Switch On DM800se
16. DreamUp finds the box and does some flash upload (this takes only 20 seconds or so)
17. It than gives me a message stating "Waiting for Acknowldgement..."
Thats it!
18. I have tried using the Dreamup Force version which enables the Greyed out Flash button etc... but with that I get another message "File too big!"

Ok I give up! **Please can some help me**.

Also some of the blogs mentions Modem Null Cable? Well on 800se you dont have the Modem Null Cable but only service port (USB) connection.:bawling:

This d@mn err01 no ca is killing me. I cant get my dm800 to connect for no reason. The serial port is not communicating no matter what. I've tried all version of dreamup patched and not, ive changed 3 different computers, 2 cables (100% sure its null) null/null, null/usb, ive tried them all, also optiflasher,NFC, enforcer, everything.
I think its a faulty rs232 port on dm800, but again not sure.
Is there anyway to get to stop ip mode, jtag or anything???

Hi flyingp1g I'm no expert (as you'll see from my posts!!) but are you sure it's null modem - I had same feelings till I went to M*pl*ns and bought what I knew to be a "proper" null modem cable. Was also missled with usb to adapter (didn't know how to tell computer/Dreamup what port it was using) but my new computer has 9 pin port - plugged new cable in and bingo away she went!! Also don't forget you seem to have to have the network cable plugged in when using Dreamup. Hope this gives you some help. Best wishes

Ok this is how i solved the no ca found with my dead rs232 port..
I connected a working dm800 with patched dreamup with only serial mode, but on dreambox both serial and lan connected. After dreamup loaded, i unplugged the working dm800 and plugged the broken one with again both serial and lan on dreambox and when it powered up it went in serial mode with ip showing. Then i flashed it with a correct image through web browser (not dreamup anymore) and works great. Serial port still not working so i guess its dead.
Very important dreamup only in serial mode, when i tried it with both serial and ethernet mode it didnt work.
Thanks

just fixed it !!

what I did (in my case, old dm800hd (sim1(?))

* download dreamup and secondstage-dm800-69.rar which can be found at the following link : http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f34/no-ca-found-file-big-fix-73198/index11.html
* connect the box with the crosslinked serial cable and network
* prepare the connection, switch on the box and wait for the error
* a bootloader was uploaded
* close dreamup, power-off the box
* download optiflash 1.0.6 (google) and make a serial connection
* choose "write bootloader", click "do job", follow instructions
* networkcable must be attached, type the ip-address
* choose in the following screen "secondstage-dm800-69.nfi" (downloaded before)
* afther finished, poweroff box, hold button on the box, poweron
* oi, dhcp is working again
* open browser (IE8 in my case), navigate to image to flash. I choose an old ssl69 image, just for testing. GP2 with ssl69 worked for me, can be downloaded at Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! (http://www.multiupload.com/UNBAHBR71Y)
* flash it by the webinterface
* reboot after finishing and grab yourself a cold one

tomorrow I'll try to update to a more recent image. my five days of agony are over so far

Thanks so much for this!!! It helped me revive my DM800 (it says SIM 2.01 at the back).
I had the CA not found error, and couldn't get various versions of Dreamup to work (the patched version said file too big, and 1.3.3.8 got stuck at "upload complete - waiting for acknowledge".
I tried the "Repair" option in the Optiflash tool, but that didn't work (no CA found error after reboot). But the "Write Boot-loader" option in Optiflash has become my hero, was able to flash the SSL-84b from another site, and after reboot, my old image booted fine (btw also the GP2 5.1 bl69). I think I will need to flash another image at some point, but I'm too tired now after ages of troubleshooting.

Hope this helps someone.

If you have problems like these try my method below it worked for me

any help?

Hi

For those who have problem with the NO CA FOUND problem dont give up on trying. Last few days I was having that problem,I bought a few cables but it doesnt solve the problem

I have tried usb to usb cable, rs232 to usb, rs232 to rs 232 but not to availability. Other than that, I have tried the dreamup, ncf, optiloader software but still cannot detect my dm800hd and I personally recommend to you all to make your own null model cable and find an old pc/laptop that has rs232 port.

The things required to make a null modem cable is by using this diagram (http://digital.natinst.com/public.nsf/$CXIV/ATTACH-AEEE-82HQFA/$FILE/Strait%20Through.jpg). I just need 2 x rs232 connector, wires, solder to make the null cable.

After using the null modem cable, I used ncf software to fix the problem and within a minute the problem is solved

Hello,
Could you open the box and take a picture of the box internals and the SIM card (it should be near the antenna). Pm me with the pics hence I can check and advise further.

you confirm your box is for SG use?
Over here we only use 800hd-c

anyway, there is a video on top. Have you followed the steps. Have you got your null modem cable?

same here, tried flashing for a friend and it shows this fault after flash and i'm sure the image is working as it was a backup from my working SE.

From what i understand, My friend claims that the clone that he just bought came with original Sim, so can use the original image from Dreambox. ( Not sure how true is that??.) Could this be the issue? Not compatible with images suitable only for clones??. i have returned the box to my friend, so cannot test it out now..

Alamak, like that jialet, so must now clear the CA fault first , then download original images only to flash in , then put in bouquet.

Then only will be solved right?. Susah lah!!!... Dunno why people want original for??...

Ok, thanks for advise..
Try to look for original images first.

I hope the web browser methods and dreambox edit do not have any other restrictions surprises later..

Haha!!

Hi All

im losing the will to live. ive trawled through the forum's and im failrly sure ive gone though every page on the internet to no avail

due to stupidity on my part i now have to reflash my dreambox.

i have tried various versions of Dreamup and get as far as flashing the memory. After an hour or so it just sits there saying box is flashing from memory,

when using the 3.2.4 image. ive have tried various others and either get the same message or " Invalid Image "

i get no " all complete " or " ok" messages. i even left it over night. when i disconnect the null modem connection and restart the box it goes straigh back to No CA Found.

im now out of ideas.

Any help much appreciated

Hi melvillecook Think your problem is you've flashed with wrong image (err01 No CA Found) what I have found is make sure you have box connected to internet, computer hard wired (reversed/crossed cable) run latest Dreamup, get box IP address, open browser on computer and then put IP address into address bar and when found (the box) you can Flash correct software. Are you sure 800HD has SIM210 as my 800HD has SIM2.01 and my 800HD se has SIM2.10? Hope this helps and you get it sorted, best wishes

Hi fayroumf No mate they are not the same SIM. With the A8P SIM you can ONLY use genuine software and the SIM2.10 is for CLONE software ONLY
