Restore DIAGUN
1.Soft RESET-reset button.
2.Hard RESET -A hard reset restarts the Diagun and erases all program data and system settings. After a hard reset, your Diagun returns to its default settings and loses all information that is not recorded in ROM.
To perform a hard reset:

Locate the recessed Reset button at the bottom of the Diagun
Press and hold down the Power button.
Without removing the Power button, insert the stylus into the recess to trigger the Reset button. Hold down both the Power button and the Reset button until the screen fades off.
When the screen has faded off completely, release both the Power button and the stylus.
You will notice the Power indicator light up green, at this point, presas the Power button to turn ON the Diagun

COPY you registry and GAG file(in Storage Card)!!!

I know about this device.This is good idea.But i no planning
strong work with Diagun.I think if we found pin JTAG in
Diagun we can restore and modify our device.
Send file possible with USB,Com port.But if died bootloader need JTAG.

Yes for backup in the end is urgent to know JTAG pins.But Im sure nobody will share info about JTAG pins in diagun, maybe Santa only :) So in this case with Samsung test board and multimeter help you can determin jtag pins in diagun because diagun use same flash and procesor ?!

FOR INFO ONLY! I select format and died bootloader.
For connect com port and If USB died:
1.connect on USB-COM adapter from old mobile tel on chip PL2303(or another) pin1
to pin12 chip sp3232 in Diaun ,pin5 pl2303 on pin11 sp3232,GND-GND,install driver PL2303.
2.connect USB-COM adapter in PC.
3.Click Start Control Panel System. Inside System Properties, click on
Device Manager. Double-click on Ports (COM & LPT1). You should see the
Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port -Double-click-install N com port set 1-4
4.open HyperTerminal (Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications and select Hyperterminal and double-click Hypertrm.exe.)
5.Type a name for the connection into the Name,OK
6.Select the N COM Port-Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port
7.Select 115200 for the Bits per second. Leave Data 8 bits, Parity No, Stop bits 1 and Flow control No
8.ON Diagun.IN windows HyperTerminal you see menu BOOTLOADER!!!For update click space in pc or reset in Diagun.
9.For restore USB- connect USB cable Diagun and click U in HyperTerminal on menu bootloader.

Diagun have multi soft(XIPKERNEL)-standart wince nbo file not work.
1.If windows Diagun no light(died bootloader):
I cropping Pages.bin from 0 to 247db0 (di4.bin) and flashing
with JTAG- SMP_2442sam(SMP_2442sam.exe /f:di4.bin enter,1-enter,0-enter,0-enter).After reset windows Diagun light.
2.When windows Diagun light connect com port-see menu bootloader-
"Press [ENTER] to download image stored on boot media, or [SPACE] to enter boot monitor."

Use diskRW and read complet nand flash image (from working Diagun) - save to sd card, than use H-jtag configure H-jtag server to nand k9F1G
than burn complete image to nand flash (it takes caa 5-6 hours to program 127M image to nand flash).
If you need complet 127MB image from Diagun nand flash just tell me.

1.Unpack Diagun.rar in C:
2.In you disk C: will new folder "Diagun". Copy in C:\DIAGUN you GAG folder from microSD Diagun.
Folder C:\DIAGUN =Storage Card in emulator.
3.Run "800X480 Extra Eng.cmd" from C:\DIAGUN.
Will open emulator.

My DIAGUN died too, worked perfectly for amonth. Then one day I tried to turn it on but does'nt boot up. It shows only the initial logo but nothing else, I found a video on youtube with the exact problem, think is a common failure.

First off I want say thanx to everyone here who has worked on this project especially Sergej.

My problem started out by not being able to make activesync work on my Diagun. Everytime I hookup the Diagun to the USB I get an fatal application error in rnaap.exe file. I believe that activesync is apart of the OS and therfore I have not being able to find an install file for the diagun. I have installed it on my computer v4.5 np. I have considered reflashing the diagun but I just got it and don't want to void the warranty. If I can get this application to work on my laptop well then I wouldn't be needing activesync.

I have loaded the app with last NK.bin into the emulator, but I do not have a ResidentFlash Drive ????

Also can you please explain how you created the NK.bin. Which programs and procedures you used for I would like to get an Image of my Diagun.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I have emulator running, but have not been able to figure out why the activesync is not working.

USB is enable in Diagun and set to allow USB
Anti virus is off
In Emulator no option to allow DMA only COM1 COM7 COM8

Because it doesn't work for Diagun and Emulator must have something to do with activesync install

I have removed and reinstalled and also tried different downloads of activesync install program, but same results.
Funny thing is that it works with my Palm and when I hookup the Diagun USB memory device is turned on and I get the Fatal application error from file rnaap.exe which is communication file.

Also I have tried to save setting in the emulator when exiting to a filename.ress - but nothing seems to happen and no file is created just hangs .... any ideas

Ok - how do i get the DMA in the drop down box? I have only the com ports to pick from.

Well I needed to install WMD setup before you can use the Diagun Emulator. WMD setup the use of DMA to the Emulator.

But still no solution to rnaap.exe error on the diagun handheld. Seems like some networking features have been removed or strip out. I will try to compare program files from emulator and Diagun handheld to see what has changed.

I got an orginale diagun to work with activesync even with Win7 and WDM 6.0 no problem easy to connect. Problem is with Chiness clones they have networking and activesync disabled. Basically anything to do with USB communication and a PC is disabled. I have compared files and registry entries and even if you match everything, there is a portion of the program that is in the ROM and Hive registry that you will never figure out.
Replacement of the ROM chip is the only way to make a chiness clone an orginale Chiness clone LOL. (Who's copying Who).

Open Start-Setting- Control Panel,Network and Dial,delete connection.
If not connection-Make New connection "Dial up connection",
than delete it.Reset.

I can connect to the smartbox but when I choose the car to connect I had that error, after the softwear recognized my smartbox and showed me the S/N
The bluetooth it recognize my smartbox

When I hookup to the vehicle I get errors or ???? in the data values. I have made sure that COM ports are less than 9, deleted all extra ones then install IVT Bluesoleil.

have tried version
IVT Bluesoleil 2.7 (2.6.0.8 Release 070517)
IVT BlueSoleil v6.4.249.0
IVT BlueSoleil 8.0.370.0

all with the same results, in the emulator the ports assign to the bluetooth device are not available. Does matter if it is craddled or activesync.

When I install with the software that came with the bluetooth receiver very thing seems to works and ports are assignable in the elmulator but doesn't work on the car.

Going to try with a different bluetooth receiver soon.
Would you have the right version of IVT blue that u can post or should I stay with version 6?

What should the comport setting be?(speed parity etc)?

For first sergej's emulator work good for diagnose of all cars.
I use blusoleil software with a cheap bluetooth usb.
Cars connected and dtc read only some troubles with live data then i have changed the com speed to 19200 then ok for now... i use virtual port com6.
I use GAG folder copied from a diagun.

Now i have here a diagun of my frend and i have made some test.
Downloaded from link of sergej dgdemo and display software...of course installed on sd....
If i put this gag folder on diagun... update go ok but if i put in emulator update fail
The problem is in connection .. maybe is better to found another bluetooth usb.... solutions ?

Were I went wrong was to install Receiver before IVT Soleil. Receiver software was getting in the way of how IVT Soleil operates.

Ok all connected, but after 30 sec of veiwing car data it freezes up. Have tried different Bluetooth recievers same results. Maybe port speed setting or memory buffers.

software.
I test emulator with unsolder modul BT Diagun .
He work good without Bluesoleil.
Another modul BT modul work only with Bluesoleil.

Just did a comparison of an OE diagun unit and a chiness clone. The clone has alot small problems accessing the vehicle, freezing and error messages.

I think Sergej your need to create a Bin file from a OE unit. This way we can start from a good operating program, and we can tweak it from there.

Any chance to get some help or exist better software for talk with rs232 port or wich is the setting to do this ...
I have found also different software but on every commands the module hangs and wont connect ...for every command must disconnect the power .....i think this is not the right way !!

Like i say before on the first command AT to com i have response on second hangs and no response ... i must disconnect the power to module then work again ... i think connection problems

So first command to restore to default the module :

Yes PIO11 to high for send AT commands.

The right command for uart is AT+UART=19200,1,0

19200 SPEED
1 STOP BIT
0 PARITY NONE

And now works ... must only test with car !!

Well sir please tell us what does it mean. You cannot connect to any k-line and just CAN Bus or just in some cars.
I don't know if you have possibility to test a Fiat group car where they use all specific k-lines pins as 1, 3,7,8,9,11,12,13.
Or if you have a messega as " Contact your Dealer" ?
If you have Renault v39.60 this ine has a lot of bugs for instance
