I know it's possible to use an emulator, however I have read that users have also had success via dump only.

Just try their solutions, then... off in flas. Why no solution worked till now? Maybe, because is a paid one, not free, or it does not work... Often happens that the cusomer needs the car "yesterday" and you need to give it back asap. Put an emu and get the money for your work. Job done, everybody happy.

I'll leave it until tomorrow and if no replies then I'll order an emulator. Do you recommend Clixe emulator?

I was using squ68 or squ80 and all worked ok on chev/daewoo.
