Lads got 2013 Vauxhall Zafira B 1.7 Diesel with ECU A17DTR.
This car keeps getting fault code P0335-08 Crankshaft position sensor signal range/performance present, changed 2 crank sensor no joy, so I got 3RD Crank sensor from dealer still having same issue, so I bought used ECU and I programmed to car still the car coming with same fault code I have checked all fuses and wiring from crank sensor to ECU still no joy, I have now come to dead end just don’t know what to look for, can someone give me any advice what should I be checking now, any advice very appreciated.:upset::upset::upset:

looks like a damaged phonic wheel, check the correct timing setting,

That’s what I suspected fortunately I replaced new timing belt still no joy I think the time has come for me to take out gearbox for more flywheel inspection but before I carried out that big job is there anything else I may has missed?

Might be a stupid question but you checked the plug if its not loose ?

Change clutch wheel...or clean it ..maybe he can't send impulse for your cranck shatft sensor !!!..if you'r sure the wireing it's ok...or ECU signal reading faulty!!!!

I remembered I had such a case, the wedge was broken, I don't know where the mechanic fixed it

Put a scope on the ckp signal wire and see if you have a normal signal or interference. Sometimes, the cable shield goes bad and the ckp signal get mixed with the other cable's signals going in parralel to it. Or, spread the looms and separrate the ckp cable to see if it brings out the correct signal. Good luck.

Check wires by ohm and bulb 55W
Check voltage with & without sensor
Connect voltmeter take something iron and check sensor
2ch oscilloscope sync

As far as I know, on this engine, the crankshaft sensor is identical to the camshaft sensor.
You can try by reversing them.
You can also compare if you have GND and +5V in both plugs (and the connection of the shielding).
As a personal opinion, if you delete the error and it reappears when you turn on the ignition (without turning the engine), it is strictly an electrical problem. If it reappears only after the starter is actuated, then there may be a positioning problem or a wrong reading of the position.
