Hi all.
I have a old Blaupunkt Essen CR31 here with no code. "---"
I readed th 93c14 and checked the code. Counter was on Address: 0x6B with "4A" (more than 3 trys). I wrote C2 instead of "4A" and every time when i switch on the radio, the radio writes "4A" to the counter value. so, still "---". I tryed also a complete different dump, no chance! i let the radio switched on over night, still "---". What is the problem here?

IF I REMEMBER WELL WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH SIMILAR SETS IN THE PAST. THEY HAD A MODIFICATION.
BEST WAY IS TO GET AROUND THIS AND TO SWITCH OFF THE CODE
IF YOU HAVE THE CODE PUSH BUTTONS 1 AND FM SIMULTANEOUSLY AND SWITCH ON THE SET KEEPING THEM PUSHED. iT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN OVERRULE THE COUNTER THEN. PUT IN THE CODE AND CONFIRM.
SWITCH OFF THE SET AND THEN SWITCH IT ONAGAIN KEEPING BUTTONS 1 AND 4 PUSHED. PUT IN THE CODE AGAIN AND CONFIRM; THE SET SHOULD BE FREE.
IF THIS DOES NOT WORK YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
PERHAPS THERE IS A WAY WITH ANOTHER DUMP BET DONT LEAVE THE CODE ACTIVE
GREETZ FRADEBO
PS THE CODE COULD BE ERASED TRY 0000 THEN

i tryed 1+FM pressed together while switching on....no chance! but this radio doesn't have the classic motorola processor, there is a ST (SGS Thomson) chip inside. and the FM-Button is called "3U-T" ...i think it's different than the oter known blaupunkt radios. But anyways, i will get this stupid thing running, only for satisfaction :) do you have other ideas? BR Matthias :)

Did not work With "92" on 0x6B :( ....i saw now, that i had already a Dump with this "trick", but no Chance!
Check my Attatchement please:
Here you are the good dump before and the same one after switching on the radio. (Code is Original matched to the Serial-Number of the Radio! )
Bosch# is: 7 641 771 010 (BP1771)
Thanks for any help!

THE ESSEN CR31 WAS SIMILAR TO THE VERONA CR31 WICH WAS THE MODEL THAT HAD TO BE MODIFIED AFTER BLOCKING.
IT WAS A MODIFICATION IN THE CIRCUIT SURROUNDING THE EEPROM BUT I DID NOT FOUND THAT DATA UNTIL NOW.
IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE PROCESSOR
I WILL TRY TO FIND AN ORIGINAL EEPROM AND TAKE A DUMP.
