A little late to the market with what it is offering in terms of the ecu/tcu functions, nothing new to make it stand out or make it a must purchase for everyone. Most advanced comrades will have tools which cover them, suppose its a good starting tool for the new comers...

nothing will work not the key tool plus, VVDI, mini Prog or Multiprog because they all used the same algorithm since they’re part of the same system.


VVDI Prog the Original Tool is very different in terms of reading chips and decoding, certain MCU that are not found on the key tool plus or multi prog.

How are you doing checksum calculate? The menu for this gives a lot of options and variables. Was able to edit the isn on a msd80 @ 0x00001100 in the int flash area, and when reading the isn again, it's changed. The process log didn't say anything about checksum calc though, with google lense, as some of it's in Chinese.

BENCH - Does not work. It reads the ID fine with all SW numbers but cannot read it.
BOOT - Does not work. After read error it asks for password (OK that could be normal but there is no option to read the password in Bench or OBD - so useless..) And after you cancel that operation Multi Prog device hangs up and only way is to restart it with power switch.

Also for some ECU's the Pinout information is confusing that could lead to burned HW (ECU/TCU or Multi Prog) where pinout picture is correct but top right pinout legend is numbered wrong.
Also there are a lot of ECU's listed where inside memories are shown 0 and is not working.
For example take Scania EMS S8 ECU
Only option is BOOT. Pinout for external connector is correct but there is no information about actual BOOT connection on PCB where 3 wires should be connected near MCU.

They are advertising this as ECU/TCU read/write/clone tool but it is very half-baked product at the moment.

I did virtual dash with KTP and adapter and worked fine too.

Can't for the life of me get it to read CAS3+ using the original MCU Adapter, I have a few CAS3 units here and on one ocasion I was able to read the flash once but that was using the XDPG02EN V3 reflash cable and the multi adapter.

I am certain this is a cable/adapter fault relating to the clk coax, between the CLK and screen there is only 3 ohms resiatance.

There is also an issue with reading Jaguar SID20X ECUs, they have the wrong flash shown in the software,

MSV80 read int eep and flash on platform bench mode ok. Boot mode wont connect, and is needed for checksum correction and ext eeprom reading/writing. Ended up reading ext st95640 out of circuit, reading in circuit will not give a valid read.

If you are asking about MQB48 license for reading RH850 and V850 dashboards, it is already included in Multiprog base package! It is literally written in every place it is sold in title and description. So no need to transfer anything anywhere!!!

Today Multiprog saved a car. :cheerful:It was a Peugeot with DCM3.5 ECU. Car was some time ago tuned with Magicmotorsport Flex in OBD mode, then it got modified at another tuner also in OBD mode with Autotuner and it got bricked in the process. Something to do with Flex applied OBD patch interfering with Autotuner OBD patching. After that it was not possible to read that bricked ECU in boot mode not with Transdata tool not with Flex. Reading stopped after 10%. So they brought that BRICK to me and I connected it to Multiprog in BOOT mode. It read it without problem. Fixed the file and wrote it back. ECU and the car is working again. Another proof where you cannot have enough tools. Where Flex, Autotuner and Transdata failed all together, new Multiprog saved the day. :rock:

If this will not change then Poldiag is the way to go. IMMO decryption and mileage is no problem. Although Xhorse already copied MQB48 dash solution from Poldiag.

You can get big surprised how poldiag decrypting 5C.
Sadly, no aftermarket tool at the moment can do this.

The best it is to scan the key, if you have one. If no keys present you can find out which is which by finding those little eeproms as on the picture. EM = 5A: PCJ = 5C

I have a question. I bought multiprog and have vvdi2. To use the MQB function, do you just need to add multiprog to your account? I'm looking for an option to pair these devices but I don't see it in vvdi2 or multiprog. Both devices are registered under one account? Regards.

I have already reported this issue to the engineer and apologize again. the current solution is to replace the chip and rewrite it.

The functionality of the dashboad has been restored with out replace chip. The test mode of the processor recording was used.

I received a d80/160 adapter. For testing purposes, I added 160DOWT memory that I had left after replacing the BMW odometer. I tried to delete it and it was successful. 00 in the first two lines. I don't have another eeprom (I always give it to customers) to confirm. Regards.

Try to test it on HPLA JLR new BCM MPC5746/48 it stop reading with in 28% sm-flash. Also another files it reads but funny sizes so cant write new virgin size. Code flash despite 500kb smaller and completely different than it really is. Done it with xprog spotless as always.

Mercedes Delphi crd3.10 r/w on bench ok but it counts crc incorrectly.
I had to recover the ecu in bootmode, I counted the crc (actually my friend counted it) and then I uploaded it on bench.

Today had Ford Ranger with SID208. Autotuner tool could not read it in OBD. Multiprog did read it in OBD and not just the calibration part but whole flash and also eeprom. Did my modifications to file and wrote it back without problems. But had to do cheksum manually. Multiprog doesn't do Checksum for SID208 at the moment.

Using Multiprog with MQB adapter I did two reads and after modifying the file and writing it back cluster keeps rebooting itself every second. Not possible to start the car because while rebooting the connection with the car cuts out. I tried to write back both original reads but problem stays the same. With 0 components removed or desoldered nothing is mechanically damaged so something went wrong while writing the file. I guess MultiProg damaged something in the main flash or the config part. Ordered a used cluster to try and clone the immo data to it but while waiting I tried to clone the immo data to Tiguan MQB Virtual cluster that I had. After cloning the immo data Tiguan Virtual cluster works fine but does not recognize the keys and does not turn on the ignition.
Cloning the immo data from analog cluster to virtual should have worked but it is not. This Cluster Change function does not work.

I bought a second adapter MQB-RH850/V850 Muli-PROG, the situation is identical, it doesn't work.
I borrowed from a Multi-PROG colleague, it doesn't work either.

Press write KM/ load dump/ wait for server/ save dump/ write back to JC. But be careful as many raport after write issues by this tool.

Can someone confirm this Multiprog tool is good for old motorola secured chip?

It has problem nearly with everything to crack chip.

EZS crafter - 3 different always failure
CAS 4 never read
CAS 3 takes 30 minutes but sometimes do it well.
KVM JLR FK72 - adapter or soldering never success crack the chip - tried many . KTP on the same takes 5 sec to succeed.

I thought maybe cable faulty but on adapter the same.

Press write KM/ load dump/ wait for server/ save dump/ write back to JC. But be careful as many raport after write issues by this tool.

Power on the Multi standard adapter to start up the programmer.

You might have this problem:
And also 12V power directly on the adapter, via connector.

Been there, found out the hard way.

Dash in PIC 1 I not have problem to read i have read success 3 or 4 dash with pcb like in PIC1, but now dash in PIC 2 not possible unlock. But i will try add power in dash and try.

Hi,

Try to read in 12.11.2024 this type of ECU EDC17CP58 in BENCH mode with Multiprog and not worked, the ECU was from Renault Laguna 3 from 2013 year, also one pin yellow of ecu it was wrong in photo from Multiprog after compare by anothers tools diagrams of ecu !

After more try without success with Multiprog I use in final AVDI by OBD and clone the ECU 1 to 1 OK in car directly !
