Just use WINE to use windows apps within linux.

Dude, your Dreambox OS is the same as your (now) desktop - Linux.

Get prepared to use the command line. All those other Windows tools are crud (except for Universal Dreamup!)

telnet is your friend
ftp is your friend
maybe even emacs is your friend, unless u are a masochist and prefer vi!

I?ve been using Fedora linux (pretty similar to ubuntu) for quite some time and all the time Dreamboxedit (by llama) has been working ok via WINE.

Telnet, gftp is in normal use. By enabling NFS driver from dreambox it will be easy to access dreabox hd from linux PC.

Webaccess from firefox works also quite well, especially when gears is enabled in it.

I got db 7025 with latest gemini image in use.
