Hijacking? WTF are you talkin about
you ask the same question that you'v asked before
and the answer remains the same
do you even read the shit that you type, does it even make sense 2 urself, you cant make ur mind up whether you want the odometer or the ecu doing
on top of that your questions hav been answered in the previous post that YOU started.
you get no help from now on, ignorant ppl like u deserved 2 get ignored

I think being newbie doesnt help.... edc16 km tool is for changing the km in your ecu...... Not your dash..... To change the km in your dash, you need to have some background knowledge of taking dash's apart.... de-soldering the old chip (M35080).. reading the data from it and then re-programming it to another chip as the chip in your instrument cluster is one time write only... If all this doesnt make sense, go to a professional and pay to have it done.. Hope this helps...

no, all I asked even in the previous thread is that I wanted to know a tool that changed the millage, why would I just want to change millage in the ECU if that will not show up on the dash??
so you recommended this tool,
so then I asked again, due to all of the confusion, will this tool that you recommended change the millage that appears on my dash? and I think the answer is no,
I know of friends who can take the whole dash away I just thought changing the millage would be straight foreward,
is that the case?

It's simple, mileage is stored in 2 places
ECU & IPC (speedo)
You can change it in the speedo and it will display new mileage.
If you don't change ECU as well then anybody with a ?20 opcom or dealer with Tech2 will be able to read both, see a mismatch and then instantly know you have clocked your car.
