I have accidentally deleted some IOS files while trying to softmod my Wii 4.2E.
can these be reinstalled, if so could someone help with the method todo this. Any advice would be appreciated.

:banghead:
Tried to load my original copy of Sports Resort and it's saying to upgrade.

I also have a diskey installed does this make a difference.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I have done as you suggested and run the safe upgrade you supplied and let sports resort update, all seems to be working now.
Just one more question, I still have HBC working but do I have to redo the softmod.
Sorry to be a pain but this is my first time trying to softmod the WII.

if you run this you will end up on 4.2 but you will still have the hb channel and a fully modded wii.

Please help! i accidentally uninstalling a WAN file "System Menu-NUS-4.1u-v54449.wad", I still have that file on my SD card. I am not sure if this is what you called uninstalling IOS? Turn on the Wii has power (green light - NOT booting with a black screen). Again, turn the Wii while holding down reset button for a minute still does not do anything. I have had try run Digital Kaos - Downloads - v4.2 safe firmware updater still no go with a black screen on TV.
Region: NTSC-U
System Menu 4.3U (v513)
Hollywood v0x11
Boot2 v4
Priiloader_v0_7

i think you mean a wad file.
plus you ran 4.2 updater when you on 4.3
try running Digital Kaos - Downloads - 4.3b safe firmware updater (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/4-3b-safe-firmware-updater-1807/)
what is happening with the console is it still booting to system menu is it still playing backups?

Add to my foot note above HBC 1.0.8.

Yes I mean a WAD file. I was on 4.3 until I downloaded the WeHackWii Package and began Softmodded, it downgrade to system menu 4.1 (dont know why). At later time I upgraded back to 4.3U, and everything still working perfectly fine.

Truly this is what happened. I was trying to install WiiFlow forwarder channels with WAD-Manager_v1.7_Full.

System Menu-NUS-4.1u-v54449.wad (included in this WAD folder too)
8Bits-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Carbonik-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Default-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Green-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Nihonflow-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Orange-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Orchid-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
StarNight-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad
Violet-FIX94v11forwarder-DWFA.wad

While trying out each different channel forwarders to see which one that I liked most, after I installed about the fourth time getting ERROR! (ret = -1035/2011). Ok, maybe I installed too many channel forwarders and so started uninstalling them. It works! I would be able installing channel forwarder again without getting ERROR!

At this point, I know which channel forwarder that I like, again getting ERROR (ret = 1035). Okay, lets start uninstalling them again. Unfortunately, this time I selected (System Menu-NUS-4.1u-v54449.wad) the wrong wad file. It took me back to the HBC and then freeze, reboot with black screen.

Answer to your question what is happening with the console is it still booting to system menu? The answer is NO. I dont think its a fully brick (I have BootMii installed (as boot2), the Wii displays nothing and I am presented with a black screen. Power still come on, I would be able to insert CD disc and ejected. Thank you so much ck-ok for any inputs and advise that you may have. Best regards, Hugh

p.s. trying to run Digital Kaos - Downloads - 4.3b safe firmware updater does not do me any good and presented with a black screen. Sorry!

If you have bootmii as boot 2 you are perfectly ok as long as you have made a nand backup. Get your nand.bin and keys.bin from wherever you have kept them safe. Put them onto an sd card with your bootmii folder, put the sd card into the wii then press the power button to switch on the wii. This will autoboot into bootmii, navigate along the the options using the power and rest buttons on the wii until you get to the option that shows the sd going back onto the chip (third one along I think) select that option and reinstall your nand. Job done
