Hi all,I did an update from 5.02. to 5.07, was on-line during that operation and after required restart i got message "internet update in progress" so i disabled LAN card thinking this is not OK, update could not be finished then, so i enabled LAN card again and update went just well. My question is: is this normal or i should uninstall everything and stick with version 5.02, i will get my new XS evolution next week and can't wait to try this soft.

I think you chose the wrong program, you must use PP2000 (when there are three possibilities Diagtool, PP2000 planet and measure), because it is the program of diagnosis, rather diagtool is a (stupid) to help diagnose problems and Planet measure is the oscilloscope (if you have the interface).
I also think that you have chosen the wrong model 206 because if your car is a 1.4 hdi (8Hz) is definitely a 206 mux .

I want to install diagbox on my system, (running windows XP) I have been using lexia3 and pps for many years now.

My question is: Is there an initial software version that I need to install and if so where can I find it??

Do I need to install the first ever released version and every superceded version from then on to have the full complete system or can I just install the latest version 5.12 ??

With the pps and lexia every update "dvd" could be installed without the need to install all the previous ones, is diagbox the same??

Install 5.02 (Base), activate or use patch, close program and run latest update, start diagbox and let updates install...... enjoy.

However I would advise you install DiagBox on fresh laptop so you always have old pps/lexia as backup.
Depending on activation method also defines if telecoding, key programming and configurations can be done.

I had PP2000 and Lexia running fine on it. Then updated to Diagbox, and keep getting this error when trying to activate it.

I was running both pps and lexia too, when I installed diagbox it removed both programs and installed ok, it kept my customer code from my PPS I followed the informaion in the patch and everything went ok.

Today I made a diagnose on 2002 year Peugeot 406 with diagbox 5.02 with the update 5.10 and the diesel fuel additive control unit was unknown.
The diesel fuel additive control unit is Magneti Marelli No.964216380.

Do we have to install/restart computer/ run DiagBox (to process update) for each update, or run all updates one after the other without restarting/ restart once/ run DiagBox to make them effective?

I am asking because In Lexia3 and PP2000, updates were downloaded together in groups, and only one restart of the program made them effective.

You have to restart after each update, it tells you that when the update has finished, cos then you load up DiagBox and it completes the installation.

Havent had a chance to use yet but how are you guying liking this interface, is it much better than PP/Lexia. I have two icons peugeot service and citroen service but they do not work any ideas.

Personally think Diagbox is a lot easier and more friendly to use.

The Peugeot and Citreon service links you are talking about, are internet links, they link to the spare parts and repair manuals on the internet. You cannot access these unless you work for PSA. You can however access the public version for free which gives you access to spare part diagrams and prices.

Latest version for pp is 24.xx, so is there something missing in the diagbox-pp? Or is pp from version 22 on only be updated for newer cars, that are covered with diagbox, too? To say it short: is pp2000 (and lexia3) still nessesary or is all in diagbox? My understanding is that diagbox covers all and should replace pp/lexia, but i'm unsure because of the different versions (22 to 24).

Yeah the latest version of PP is 24.xx, I was just in a rush when I was typing, and wrote the old version.

DiagBox includes peugeot planet and lexia. But you don't access each of them direct like how you currently do, instead you open up diagbox.

You then select Peugeot or Citreon

It will then configure automatically to the car once you have selected the model.

You can then use the new DiagBox software to code read or configure the cars, or you can select to use peugeot planet or lexia if those are capable of handling that model of car.

In a sentence...DiagBox is a hell of a lot better and more user friendly.

I already have a working copy of peugeot service box, just disspointed that when I enter my vin it doesnt bring up my vehicle details.

Because 99% of garages use XP or Linux operating systems so if they made it for windows 7 people would have to upgrade everything.

Windows 7 has a feature to run XP anyway.

If you have the downloaded version of service box which you install on your HDD then it won't bring up any details, as you don't have the database. The online based one, is the one Peugeot/Citreon use in the spares department which has the database so it should bring up your vehicle.

Unless someone has messed with the VIN plates on your car!

Just tried to update from v16 tot 22, using the 1 by 1 links

Update from 05.16 -> 18 went well, activation accepted and program worked.
Update from 18 -> 20 resultated in an "error" block in the screen of diagbox before I even could activate again...

I removed all and hoped I could install 5.02 to start again with the 5.02->5.21 link...
After installing 5.02 the patch gives "succesfull"
Then I get an error with activation, I must reactivate to restart installation again.
I tried different numbers and profiles. I cant get 5.02 working again.

Does anyone has a tip for me???

If anyone is having problems loading this prog to windows 7, you will.

You can download windows xp mode and virtual pc from windows site and install diagbox to virtual xp in windows 7.
Diagbox works perfectly!!!

uninstall diagbox/PPS from W7. Go to windows site and download this

Windows XP Mode - Windows 7 features - Microsoft Windows (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-xp-mode)

Open your virtual PC/ XP Mode and install diagbox to this, connect PSA interface and attatch the usb port to XP mode , it will then load the drivers for the PSA Interface.

Once youve got it up and running, shut it all down, reboot and you will see Virtual XP in your W7 programs, highlight it and you will see Diagbox (xp mode) there. Just click it and it will open perfectly for you!!!!!

Just reinstalled whole DiagBox from 5.2 till 5.25 , one by one ,damn it took whole day! I patched just first installation , and all updates didn't required any activation (device always connected to USB). So till now everything looks fine ( not tested on the car yet) .Great job Scary&CO !!

Ive a problem.

After succesful 5.02 installation some time ago, I update to 5.20 and 5.25 some weeks later. Everything fine.
The diagbox worked fantastic.

Now I tried to update tot 26 -> 27 -> 28.
After update 25-26 it asked for reactivation, wich not worked...
(firewall and virusdetection off)

Uninstalled the diagbox to make a new installation and wanted to update directly to 5.20 and secondly to version 28.

But thats not working here anymore.....
at the activating 5.02, I get "error with activa etc. etc."
Tried several times, with different profiles, 32-car. numbers
I get succesful with the patch but with the same activating-error at the end....

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??????????? HELP!

EDIT: After uninstal, I also deleted manualy the map backup_DB... then activation went fine for 5.02.
Now i'n gone try the rest of the updates ;)

Install updates one by one, not forgetting to use new patch on v5.23

Just tried installing and get this error.

This is after I have run the patch on V5.02, and used the customer code, profile and activation number thats in the .txt document.

If old HDD is still alive why just don't clone it to new one? Use Acronis Migrate Easy,HDD clone or similar program and you will get all as it was without headache.

Burn a dvd with DiagBox V5.02

Install DiagBox by the way of automatic install.

When you comes in the activation window close it (DiagBox).

DiagBox have been now installed for half.

As DiagBox has been entirely clost then you just run the patch (put the patch first on your desktop).

It is not terrible if you get warnning 6.

Then you start up DiagBox and Choose manual activation

Put in a name (example 'scary01')

Then use code `12345678901234567890123456789012'

and profil `02FFFFFF'.

Then you see that he proceeding with installation.

Firstly lexia afterwards pp2000.

If he has been entirely installed then you come automatically in DiagBox.

Therefore now you must shut off DiagBox.

You use the patch and you are ready.

Diagbox was working Full with 5.29 , now is not run.

I have just updated my diagbox. but now when eva i try to connect to the car it says there is no responce from the ecu. but it does read the vin number of the car but no responce from the ecu error comes after that. can some one help please.

I'm update to 5.29-5.30 , 5.30 to 5.31 , but now no comunication with car , message showing is :

PEUGEOT PLANET 2000
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO RUN PEUGEOT PLANET 2000 FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
PEUGEOT PLANET INTERFACE IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE USB PORT OF YOUR PC
PEUGEOT PLANET INTERFACE IS BEING USED BY ANOTHER APPICATION
THEREFORE, PLEASE CONNECT PEUGEOT PLANET INTERFACE, CLOSE THE OTHER APLICATION AND RESTART PEUGEOT PLANET 2000.

Led green status is OK.
How to do ? , reinstall Diagbox or Re-activate ?
