W211 2004 cluster - 24c16 or 24c17 ?

Hi all,

Is Mercedes W211 year 2004 using 24C17 or 24C16 ?

From the search in forum it said is 24C17, as well as the list from tachosoft.

But this odometer when i opened it , it shows me a
ATMEL AT 24C16AN , which is a 24C16.

So the question is, is this 24c16 the chip stored mileage information? Or there is another eeprom in this cluster ?

yes, you need the 24c16 eprom.
there is the mileage store in.

As conclusion, it could be 24c16 or 24c17 in the same type of cluster ?
