Dont autoload the .bin. Manually locate it and load it. Then spoof the key over. Then write.

Should do it no probs.

Thanks for quick reply, but its only the 2nd time i have done this and the 1st one went great but any chance you could tell me where to go from here.

Do i right click on the source, load firmware ie the lt+ firmware then click spoof?

Right things all gone tits up now. Left it as it was pc decided to cut off now xbox has e65 error. Think i may have stood on my keyboard which maybe why it went off. My pc won't recognise the drive now.

You need a CK kit to flash that. Need to probe the r707 port.

Not so simple but the JF quide will show you step by step.

Yeah just been looking through the guide. Don't really wanna be cutting/soldering anything so what would be the best but cheap (mid-range) kit to buy that doesn't involve soldering/cutting?

It is possable to tell from the MFR date on back of the box, but always best to check on the drive itself.

73 series drives req probing of R707
8v1 (aug 2009 mixes revisions) explioted thro sata
8v2 (after aug 2009) require MRA hack
9 series drives require MRA hack.

All above can be done via the MRA hack, also aug is a mixed month so you could gget a 8 series v1 or v2.

Sorry for late replies guys been hectic with work and all.

The drive is a 9 series, 93450c I understand that it will require the mra hack.
