well, but my tool has very old HW 1.0.0.100 so dont think then can do straight upgrage by mpps 5.0.1.10 because that program will not see my tool isn't ?

1st step install MPPS 3.0.x.x - plug the tool open the sw and your tool will be updated to v3
2nd uninstall MPPS 3.0.x.x
3rd install MPPS 4.x.x.x - plug the tool, open the sw and your tool will be updated to v4
4th uninstall MPPS 4.x.x.x
5th install MPPS 5.0.1.10 - plug the tool, perform update; Now your tool will updated to v5.
6th install the medicine for v5

I think you have blacklisted serial in V3 version.

My first clone (chinese) was killed by version V4.x and show FFFFFFFFFF but after flash with updaters of V5 cracked version my clone revive....
Try, you have nothing to loose now.

yes - will be into the blacklist
but then you will go on with v4 and v5
when you will have the v5 updated done your tool will be seen as "clone" that's way you will need medicine for that version

the only one version up to now which can be used even your tool has serial into blacklist is v5.

PS: let's make a bet - if the too will work you will give me something (I do not know what now) if not I will program your tool with v5 with external programmer. Are you in?

Well, I download already soft 3.0.0.17 to upgrade my clone but that soft does not want start after instaling.I was trying change date 02/2010 after trying start like admin but still nothing got win xp sp3. So still can't kill my clone ...

I tried to reflash the micro with some dumps but none worked.

1st update to MPPS v4 (any 4.0.x.x)
2nd update to MPPS v5 - 5.0.1.10

then use medicine for that version (patch MPPS 5.0.1.10)

thx, but how to get around 128 runs limit.
I tried with MPPS v12 NOREAD OFF.exe, from thread but warning stays. does this 128 count down or it always show 128 and just stops working?
Also from ecutool they send me same install as stormb with some lpk.dll inside archive?

best thing is to try on your car flash a couple of times and see if the counter goes down....if it dont you are ok....i no thatg the counter"128"normally stays at 128.....

Resistors is same like my old v3 interface. The shown voltage is 1.3 volts above real voltage.
Input voltage of processor, then the divisor is 2.07 volts, old interface - 1.99. Is this the problem, or is something else?

P.S.
I played little with resistors and achieved acceptable reported tension. Furthermore, wasn't filtered very well processor supply, but that's another problem... every know chinese quality

Try this v12 software. It is fully functioning with no count down on the 128counter.
if using windows7 then once software is installed you must run programme as administrator

Yep! Unless you actually go into properties and change it to ALWAYS run in administrator mode. Don't ask me why as i don't know why but this is what I was told to do otherwise the programme will not run.
If counter is still at 0 then its new cable needed. There is a guy on auction site from estonia (i have nothing to do with him, only purchased from him myself) who sells V12 mpps. Tested on 4 cars so far and all is good so far. If any probs i will post and ask questions.

I'm new to this so i don't have the answers you want to be honest. All i know is that I have my new mpps v12 (clone) which does NOT count down at all. if it's something in the cable or something in the V12 software, i just don't know. I was only trying to help.

Hi there Scarymistake, i try that on my win7 32bit, and after all the procedure, when i open after the pacth the mpps.exe it gives me an error of cant wright on setupapi.dll...Can you help me on that_?

try dis
install program (from me)
1. delete original file "Mpps.Exe" from inst directory
2. extract then rename the attached file to mpps.exe and copy it to the inst directory
3. run FirmwareUpdate.Exe then MppsUpdate.exe

U1 - C8051F340 - Full Speed USB Flash MCU Family
U2 - SJA1000T -- Stand-alone CAN controller
U3 - C32R -- voltage regulator 3,2 Volt - ST LDK130C32R

U6 - empty

I have problem with the wrong voltage.
My MPPS V16 show aprox 30 Volts. This is not real.
I think that my problem is with wrong or not correct resistors.

Please post here schematic or/ and PCB for MPPS V16 clone. Many people will be happy!

R13 = 47kohm 1% tolerance - correct
/ in my case was 4,7kohm (this is not correct). This is part of the voltage divider. Now after change of "fatal" R13 the voltage is correct. /

I also change R7 = 4.7kohm. 1% tolerance
and
R8 = 120ohm /This is responsible for CAN connection and is NOT part of voltage divider, but is OK to be 1% tolerance 120ohm/

This is the right way - first check the resistors!!!

I'm stuck with setupapi.dll error on windows 7. I tried downloading patch from page 16 but it says i don't have permission (in fact it says i'm not logged in no matter how many times i log in) even though i've already said hi in the appropriate sub forum.

Hi all, i need help with a Opel EDC15M, i bought a MPPS 18 Clone and MPPS 16 Clone. There is no read out ID with K-line, no programm possible.
Read ID only 0000000000, with both Interface MPPS 18 tested all so with V21 Software on Win 7, MPPS 16 with XP. Tested on car and with Tricore Adapter, Pin Out ist ok, Opcom and Tech2 can read the ECU. Tested on Opel Frontera and Isuzu DMax.

MPPS V21 gets locked after 10 flashes.

I also have a locked mpps v21 which is not detected by the computer .

A better solution would be to write C8051F firmware with either V18 or V21 when it gets locked, but the issue is that C8051F it’s read protected and you won’t find the firmware anywhere online.

There is a solution on how to bypass the read protection which is public from 2021.
