Hi,

is possible bench test (out of car) this radio?

Ford 5000 RDS EON with knob volume.

Other models like 5000 RDS EON with keys volume, 3000, 3000Traffic, 4000, 6000CD I have no problems.

I have tried the 4 diffrent wiring diagrams attached and no one works.
Only ilumination of radio blinks for 1 second and then the power supply turns off.

Is this radio locked to car immo?

I have tried 5 radios 5000 RDS EON with knob volume and all does the same (blinks for 1 second and turns off)

Had this radios a special wiring diagram?

Thanks in advance.

This radio should work perfectly on your bench. The one thing needed is to make sure that both earths --pins 2/6 are are connected to ground.

Ok, thanks my friends for reply.

I think the problem is this radio needs at least 15-20 Ah power supply, and my power supply is only 8 Ah.

I will try with a more powerful power supply and will post result.

This radio use only 2,5A as max at peaks. :D
So any power supply with 2,5A minimun, will carry it w/o
problems.

THAT IS CORRECT

RECHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS, ESPECIALLY THE 2 EARTH-CONNECTIONS

Problem solved.

Thanks to all for your help.

I have used a 62 Ah battery and the radio WORKS 100%.
When I tried with the 8 Ah power supply, the power supply "auto-off itself" for some reason that I don't understand.

Again thanks to all, friends.
