Hi guys,
I have a customer with a '03-'04 XC90, and intermittent problem of losing all electronics: Cluster, radio, interior lights, car continues to drive, and headlights come on.
I had the car by me for two days, and did not show problems at all, just a lot of communication loss errors on most modules.
Today the customer came back, and the problem was there. Everything off, absolutely no lights on cluster, radio, and interior.
As you switch ignition off and back on, CEM tries to come on, but everything starts flickering, and CEM relays go crazy. Eventually it will hold, and car will start then all will go down again.
Car has been like this for weeks, and sometime will be ok for days.
Has anyone had any problem like this? Any known components failing in CEM?
I'm thinking maybe loose ground, but will strip car tomorrow.
If all fails, i can get second hand CEM, but would swapping flash be enough, or need to swap processor also?
Sorry for long post.
Thanks for any input.
