if it is softmoded and you use a backup loader like gama loader / softchip then it will play any region anyway. priiloader will also open it up to play any region and stop it from updating and help prevent bricking.

Yeah i wanted to be able to play ntsc virtual console games. Would it still work staying pal then or not?

install priiloader http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f16/priiloader-v0-7-a-204352/ then set region free in priiloader settings and try playing the games.you may need to change tv type 50hz to 60hz or vice versa in the wii settings.

Be careful trying to change the Wii region to something else as thats the easiest way to brick a Wii. As suggested only use the Region Free option in PriiLoader if you must.

I've never needed to use this option and I can both PAL and NTCS games on mine without any problem.
