To my surprise, I saw somebody put a Sly card in one of these receivers today have complete access to ALL their subscriptions. Unsurprisingly, the guy is selling them by the lorry load over here in the sun.

Before today I assumed after many hours fiddling with various softcams that the boxkey was required to unlock all channels. Obviously not.

Does anyone know what's going on under the hood or know of a good site that discusses it? I'm intrigued!

That link is only for the 100e supergift patch, I am not clued up on the others i will look into it and let you know, when i find out i will post here, This is only a guess but i think they all will work on a gift, but for the money a 100e is well worth it you can pick up for around ?85

Are all Ariva 100e sold with the gift? No-one seems to mention the gift on retailers sites anymore.
Is Cccam stable on these?

Well to be fair none should mention gift as you are buying a free to air box and you are moding it with software (patches) also a lot of sellers are been carfull how they promote there boxes now as we have seen of late a lot of activity with trading standards raiding and closing places and seizures of stock, so they would but silly to sell them pre loaded;) Also very stable CCCam but like other boxes the gift will go up and down channels come and go, your better jumping on the band wagon early to get the most out of it;)

I would love to know how long this gift lasts, When i first looked into a spiderbox, It sounds exactly like the spiderbox did, Cheap and too good to be true, And what happened 3 months down the line, All the gift channels went on spiderbox, When i say all I mean all the decent ones worth watching!

At least with the spiderbox you still have the superb second to none HD and the option of " server connections ", My suggestion is really look into a sat box if its the route you are going to take, and make sure you get your choice spot on!

Regards.

to my knowledge all updates and filmware has to come from the supplier/manufacturer not good but as a free to air box good reports :)

have the same box. i presume you have to patch it before you put in line. (all new to me). is it as simple (relatively) as you describe?

Talking to a buddy last night, bought the 120 and was running cccam on it , as you have read it, got unstable and has to rebooth box every few hours. Advised me to stay away, but by all accounts for saorview and freesat all in one - its a good buy!!

Hi,

I'm looking for some guidance as I'mn a novice to all of this!

I live in the uk but have an apartment in tenerife which has a sattelite connection through the complex. I currently have a spare sly box connected and when I visit I take my sly card from home with me a put it in the spare box, I only therefore get the basic package and none of the premium channels which I subscribe to at home i.e sports...

So the question is if I buy a Ferguson Ariva 100e or 200e and istall in tenerife will this give me my premium channels with my card from the uk ? If yes do I need to do anything to the box or is it simply plug and play.

Also where do i get one and how much?

thanks alot
