w210 e300 ecu adaptation info

I have 1999 E300 with faulty ESL so I put my EZS and ESL and car now turn but not start as ECU needs to be adapted

I have read 24c04 from ECU and made default DAS with ECU clear,

can anyone tell me if I put my EZS/ESL do I have to write my VIN in 24c04 with ECUclear,or is it only neccesary to programme ecu with STAR?

also can anyone give m esome guide on how to prgramme ecu as I never do that?
