Hi,
How do you resync a clifford g5 fob?
One of them works, but the other one doesn't. The one that doesn't work, has always been my spare and swapped batteries in it a while ago and never thought no more about it. But I've put the circuit board in a custom key, everything works but I think it just needs re-syncing
Thanks

I'm still no wiser tho. I have the owners hand book, but can't find anything in it.
Wonder if you have to use cliffnet? I've got the customer version somewhere

Hi,
How do you resync a clifford g5 fob?
Techanallicy, you don't since G4 they have "Auto resync ?"
Any good to you:
How to Program a Clifford Car Alarm Remote | eHow.com (http://www.ehow.com/how_7410036_program-clifford-car-alarm-remote.html)
What the ~~~~? Press the "Plain View Coded Valet Switch ? 11 times"
Huh - since when Eagle II ? , Sabre ? 1999 wording, that's the 2nd generation - when the user could DIY - but wasn't "Plain View Coded Valet Switch ?" Just a hidden toggle switch, no mention of programming chanel 2 ( trunk realease) or channel 3 (silent arm disarm).
Ok, start again, you do need the code for the "Plain View Coded Valet Switch II ?" - or cliff wiznet ? Version 2.2 (Dealer ONLY) - overrides Valet ? code.
THIS IS OWN WORDING NOT CUT AND PASTED
So say your code to your "Plain View Coded Valet Switch II ?" is say
1204 - then disarm with exsiting remote - or just carry on, ignition on and
press the
* button then the blank
** button then the blank
blank
**** blank
LED is now solid color
Hold * untill first set of chirps are heard (If you get two, you have gone to to installer mode turn ignion off - 3 chirps)
* blank blank - wait for the chirp - press padlock button on remote then again, then ignition off.
If this don't work then you need to
a) Resolder the remote where the battery holder has lifted - USE SMALL amounts of solder
b) Find your nearset Clifford ? installer.
For some unkown reason 'www.Meat-Head-Motors.co.uk" don't appear on their website

Do I have to do that procedure for both fobs?
Can't understand why its lost sync then, if its auto sync :/

in theory it should not have lost it's coding, unless you have had Justy22 round with his jump leads.
To be fair can't EVER remember a Clifford dropping remote coding in *COUGH* years - thats both of them :roflmao::roflmao:
Try working it with the lid of the remote.
If it's both then chnces are it's going to be (excuse spelling and correct phrase) the "xapothical extended range receiver?"

It has one of those fitted.
One remote is fine. It's just the one I have for spare, doesn't work

it's a 30 second job (give or take) - is is a rounded type?

if so, chances are
1) it's ~~~~ed
2) battery holder lifted off board
3) both

Weird, UNLESS one is AGC2? and one AGC3?
MAIN QUESTION:-
Has that one that's dead EVER worked?
PSST - you DID NOT get this file off here:-

I've actually no idea because its always been on the key chain with the valet key, and the one I've always used was on the RCL fob when they gave me the keys. So I always used that one
Do you think its the remote thats knackered then?

Do you think its the remote thats knackered then?
Although made by Mr Ting-Tong in China we have never had a faulty clifford - except sirens and receivers in *COUGH* years - all two of them!
Try reprogramming it, and/or see if you can check part numbers.
*THINK* there is 2 that look the same, but don't taste the same.
Try reprog

Think it is the fob that's knackered.
The "G5" button works fine, but when you press the others, it likes flashes

The "G5" button works fine,
That would be the level shift button.
1) Download off ebay - used is fine if it works
2) TRY ripping apart, early ones had cellotapeand a 'tin foil' button, swap for the trunk one

Programming fobs is easy. But they don't lose synch. You need the 4 digit valet code. Usually on the back of the remotes or on the back of the manual. You enter this in the two buttoned valet switch.
Switch on the ignition. Then press the raised button the valet switch the same number of times equating to the first digit and then press the blank button to confirm the digit and move onto the second digit and repeat this for the 4 digits.
Once you have entered all 4 digits and pressed the blank button the last time the led should light and the immobiliser should disarm. Now press and hold the raised button till you get a chirp. Now let go and press the blank button once. Another chirp. Now press the raised button once. Another chirp. Now press the padlock button on the fob you want to program till you get two chirps to say it has been programmed. Now press the padlock button on the second fob till you get two chirps. Finally turn of the ignition. All done.
Remember this is the procedure to program the remotes. I have fitted alot of these g5 systems and cannot remember a fob losing synch.
Hope this helps.

If the valet switch is broken then a replacement needs to be fitted. It just plugs in around 3-4" down the loom from the switch end. You can also program the fob using Clifford cliff net wizard and a laptop.
