The r4i sdhc offical site just released a new firmware of r4i sdhc car,both for r4i sdhc 3ds card and non 3ds version.With this new kernel update,many new skins added and some new games fixed by it.Here is more info.

R4i V1.44b Update:
1. Firmware upgrade to support NDSI 1.43(for products 1.41,1.42, 3DS).
2. Integrate firmware upgrade features. Goto config menu for firmware upgrading.
3. Increase maximum number of support skins from 8 to 64.
4. Redefine 12 new defaults skins.
5. Unique skin customize features. Through the user interface, user can easily modify skin.
a. Color setting of the skins.
b. Changeable button style. Maximum support 8 button styles.
c. Allow to use NDS games icon as a source of skin icon.
d. Adjustable skin display style.
6. Support UTF-8 decoding for usrcheat.dat file.

there is a error message showed when i update my r4i sdhc 3ds card ,how to fix it ,pls help .i heard r4i sdhc 3ds card and non-3ds card have diffierent kernel ,why r4i 1.44b suit for both of them.

The r4i sdhc v1.44b can work on 3DS V2.1.0-4 straightly!

I've bought a r4i-sdhc upgrade revolution card for my daughters nintendo ds, i've installed the v1.44b (i've also tried others) but i'm still getting error on the ds. please help

Can you tell me what kind of r4i card do you have?If your card is a r4i gold 3ds card,you shouldn't download this r4i sdhc v1.44b,you need to download wood r4i v1.36.Today i have just do a test on how to use the r4i sdhc new kernel to play some games,it works great,no issues appeare.So if you have download the right kernel,i am sure ,it works....

If your r4i shdc card was made before August 3rd, you need a DS console to upgrade the card, then, it can work.

It's not a gold card or 3ds. It came in a red box. It also has v1.4.3 written on it.

hello again
i've tried the v1.36 and put the wifi engine on but it's still saying error. I've even tried taking the wifi engine off and it still says error.

hey kandcmum,i get your problem now.Your r4i sdhc v1.4.3 card is not 3ds version,so this update v1.4.4b is not for your card,you shouln't download this firmware r4i sdhc 3ds v1.44b.Here is a new firmware r4i-sdhc v1.4.2 kernel--- v1.44b is mainly for the r4i sdhc card below the v1.4.3 version(include the v1.4.3 version),please formatting your sd card and download this new kernel here

I've tried the last link and i'm still getting error, just to check that i'm ok using a standard card reader instead of the flash drive that came with the card. I found that wouldn't work

Do you have a dsi console?Have u ever tried to use the r4i sdhc v1.4.3 card on it?Does it work?

If your R4i SDHC V1.4.2 card or R4i SDHC V1.4.1 card,you have to upgrade your R4i card in a DSi (lower than v1.4.3 ) or DS Lite.
