Hi, wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to fix my daughters nokia c3.
Everything i do on it tell me the internal memory is full and stuff needs deleting.. the phone should have 55mb internal memory but thats has dropped down and fluxtuates between 1.2mb and 9mb. So far i have tried hard reset & soft reset, plugged it into ovi suite and reflashed the phone with newer firmware; all to no avail. there is no music, pictures, anything on the phone and i cleared the cache and put a new empty 2gig micro sd card in it.
I have the same phone and have checked my internal memory and mine says 40mb free,
A friend of mine also has had the same problem for a few weeks now so this may be a common fault with these phones.
Any help would be greatly apreaciated.

If you have tried *#7370# with no joy then try:
Hold down the following keys:
* 3 and Green-Call-Button
Then turn the phone on while holding those keys... You may need the assistance of another pair of hands as it's tricky to do on your own!
If neither do the trick, I'd suspect a faulty flash chip.

thanks for reply m8, tried both of them, pressing the 3 * and green call button doesn't do anything... tried it a few times and got no joy

The other thing to check is that they are both the same phone! Odd but Nokia often make up to four different versions of the same handset! Do *#0000# and ignore the C3 modem and look at the Nokia RM number. It still smacks of a faulty combo-flash to me...

Works 100% otherwise, so pop it in EBay!

You've got to remember how many people use EBay. There are probably a dozen people with a C3 that's dropped in the bath or bog with a mint condition case who will bid on a scratched C3. I'd be surprised if you get less than ?35 - 40 for it!

My guess if that the combo-flash (which is a uBGA device) has poor solder connections to the board. Quite a common problem especially with larger chips! Sadly, without a rework station it's an impossible task to rectify yourself!
Almost certainly caused by dropping when the board flexes but the chip doesn't!

cheers mate. it looks like it has been dropped a few times, as long as it holds out till november then she gets a new one. Will clean it up again then and pop it on ebay..
