Hello, Can this car be done by obd ? I haven't opened the car yet so I don't know what type of dash is in it. Thanks:giveup:

It depends... What do you want to do??? It should have OBD Connector already... In the middle tunnel behind the first line of seats... :)

can be done via OBD with vag commander k+can (clone also works).

If it's uk-nsi not sure it can be done obd. Just have one now from 1998 for key adaptation. Vag kcan , commander and vag tacho can not read eprom and km value

maybe this is another dash, it appears here on the menu of commander k+can 3.6 !!

it 's for VDO dash . i used it before and it work good ;)

A4 from 96 have Immo boxes... For 90%... So for key adaptation or login you need to read the EPROM from immo box...

open the car and give it a diag on cluster to know what type we have, we can help you better

Sit in the car and look at the bottom of the cluster between the speedometer and rev counter. You will see either VDO or UKNSI on the black plastic. VDO can be done OBD2, UKNSI you must remove the cluster and clip on the eeprom. Arthur.

by the time I found my glasses, its quicker to take the cluster out and see the label.:fisheye:

It was UKNSI, didn't work obd, it was reading something but in millions not thousands, just took it out and did it. Should have done it in the first place, was just being lazy.
