Hi
I'm looking for a resetter for my XP205.
All my searches on the net gave the same answer: just pay for a key.
There is no other way?
Im having the same problem with an xp-205. Did you find a solution?

I unpack the zipped folder in 7 zip I get 5 packages StrGene.dll, AdjProg.exe, apdadrv.dll, DataServiceLapper.dll, EditText.dat
I started the program only to find out it has only 2 printers there for epson
not the sx 130 nor sx125 so I chose tx121.
would it still work?

No it won't. If you try to use it the printer will lose it's identity.
Let me rephrase that....
There is a chance that your printer will lose it's identity. This was tested by the OP on a SX125. Other members have reported it working with the SX130, but others have claimed it changed their printer to a TX121 & won't work afterwards.
But we don't know if they followed the instructions correctly.

OK thanks for the info.
So what did the ones that claim it worked, choose? epson stylus tx 121 OR Epson ME 320? What other settings did they use? Can anyone who knows this please respond?

:banghead:
I'm getting tired of typing this.... This software resets the WASTE INK PAD COUNTER only.
It doesn't possess any magical powers that can fix faulty chips on ink cartridges.
If your printer doesn't like a particular ink cartridge...CHANGE THE OFFENDING INK CARTRIDGE!

Its ok using the program to reset your counter but the reason its there is to stop waste ink overflowing and spoiling your new carpet lol
Most waste ink gets held in a sponge so its worth trying to soak up any excess ink when you reset the counter.
Andy.
I put an old padded envelope under my printer just incase it starts to leak. The paper of the envelope giving me some absorbtion and time to deal with it if it does happen. The bubble wrap will also stop ink flowing through to the underneath of the envelope, hopefully allowing me to spot it intime.:joyous:

Hello.
I am a new member so please excuse if this is all wrong.
I have a problem, my Epson SX125 has stopped working, so I went onto youtube videos to see if I could solve the problem, it didn`t but what it did do was tell me how to set up a outside tank etc to use when and if I can reset the reprint counter.
Thank You all For the Advice given

Hello,
The reset program is just for the Epson SX125, but it might work for the SX130 as they are very similar. Other people have reported it working on the SX130. Give it a blast!!
J.
I have a sx130 aswell with this problem, I will try to give it ago :)

Hello Jonnhybeast and thanks for sharing the file. This is my first post, I hope it is in the right place! ;)
I have an Epson Stylus SX125 printer and even though I purchased a brand new official Epson black ink cartrigde last week and only printed a half page, today when I changed the other 3 color cartridges the printer manager screen showed me that the black ink needed to be changed too :( :( The bloody orange ink light is permanently lighted and I cannot print until I replace the 90% filled cartridge with a brand new one!
So I downloaded the program, followed the instructions but it did not work. When I clicked on "Check" I got the message: "The counter value has been read properly"... so I thought that we're all set.
Then after I ticked the 2 boxes and clicked on "initialize", and was asked to turn the printer off, I got the message "The waste ink pad coutner has been initialized properly. Turn on the printer and click on the [check] button to check the waste ink pad counter value"... I turned the printer back on, and when I clicked on "check" I got the message "the counter value has been read properly"... Back to square 1, the orange light of the ink is still on unfortunately :(
The first time I tried this, I briefly saw the Epson windows showing the level of ink in the background. Then nothing.
Can you help me please, what am I doing wrong? I have Windows 7 64 bits, perhaps this is the problem? I am an old fart and could use some step-by-step help, I am so sorry for the disturbance.
Any help will be most appreciated. Thank you.

I think you have to try it with Windows XP. I read a lot, that's only working in XP.
