Hi All

I have a vauxhall movano van
it is 2.2 DTI on a 2002 year

the customer was down chester way on his way home in middlesbrough he told me he went over a cattle grid and engine cut out

it was recovered to me i put renault clip in and it came up with no fuel pressure at fuel rail
i have checked pump in tank it primes for about 5 seconds when ignition key is turned on, but does not work when cranking
i put 12volts to pump in tank so diesel is circulating around system
i have checked the back of the high pressure pump as a drive snaps off but that is ok

in clip it shows that immobiliser is ok tryed both keys
it also shows crank speed
i am looking for a wiring diagram for the engine ecu etc
the van has a couple of extra alarms fitted traced wiring but cannot find what they have cut into

many thanks for your help

hello it is normal to cut the fuel pump is priming, it never turns when the engine is running. rail pressure checks, and returns to the injectors, which has more surplus is the one bad rail pressure leaks around, erase mistakes, then expunge it to boot, then look at the failures that occur

hi ash

when i put 12volts to pump in tank diesel flows round the system through fuel filter, comes out of leak off pipes [if i take one off] and i have fuel to high pressure pump
but nothing comes out of pump
pump is turning when i crank engine
i am after wiring diagram to check lives and negatives at ecu
as i said it has a lot of alarms fitted

thanks for your reply

Hi

Very interesting post as I have one Renault Traffic 2.5 Lt doing the same thing and I think its the High Pressure Pump faulty............

Because even when I did remove the fuel pressure control solenoid from high pressure pump and crank the engine there was no any fuel pressure which is not normal..........So I have asked the customer to look for another pump.............

But,in my case I don't have fuel at all in fuel rail.......at least you have fuel till leak of pipes......:top:

Will let you know if I get it running........ also you let us know your out come............

have rail pressure 350 bar at startup, control returns to the injectors. compare 4 that this error has
rail pressure sensor failure may have bad injector attempts to boot with boot. not as you call in your country but it is a spray that you can put in to boot ADMISSION

id defo manualy trip inertia switch by tapping it with summe hard then pressing it in again all seems abit too coincidental

For reference nothing more than a 7/8" spanner - anything bigger tends to SMASH them off their mounting points.

Not that i know about things like that.

hi all
finaly fixed it
sent high pressure pump away to be checked came back ok
fitted back on van had to retap egr valve housing [from some one elses botch up] diesel flowed from high pressure pump. had connection problem with wire on fuel pressure regulator on high pressure pump going to do leak of test
but as i cranked it over it started and has ever since
so not 100% what fixed it

chuffing hell 60+VAT
.
remind us to charge that when we do a dynamo or battery test
.

did they test it with genuine tools or clones?

think this one was a gay lord air lock somehow
