Hi all, need help finding particular satellites. Trying to find spanish channels but dont where to point satellites.

Can we make a list of satellite names, their direction and finally locations. Can we make a sticky thread.

i will start thread going,

satellite names - direction - location.

Astra - 28.8e - Uk.

that list does not tell you which country each satellite is from.

not many people would know Astra 2D is sky uk.

from that list i still do not which satellite spanish tv is on.

generally speaking the satellites are not exclusive to one region, some are pan european, so its basically a waste of time

even 28e has non-uk channels and broadcasters on it and can be had outside the uk too

spanish channels are generally on the ones they are inside the footprint of

like spanish channels exist mainly on 19e and 30w , but those same satellites also have portuguese channels, english channels, german channels, french channels and many more too, so no exclusivity at all

some broadcasters put the same or similar channels on various satellites to serve different areas, not countries

king of sat or lyng sat or fly sat are used to determine what is on where, mainly by broadcaster, not language or country, and especially not if a satellite has a pan-european signal, its also the direction the transponders are aimed at too (the footprint), not the satellite itself

i think kaisar is looking for DIGITAL + on 19.2e which is the spanish package......a lot of those channels will also be on MEO package on 30w (portugese)

Hispasat 30 west for spanish channels. Buy yourself the what satellite monthly magazine and in the middle section it will give every channel and what languages they are in on all the sats from east to west. hope this helps kaiser
