I have a problem with airbag unit from Renault Twingo I.
Unit is made by Autoliv, numbers 550 54 69 00 or 7700433756. Inside is EEPROM 93c66.
I read the 93c66, cleared the file and put the unit back in place. On ignition, airbag LED went off, after I started the car it came back ON. Airbags and pretensioners were NOT yet replaced.
However, Renault Clip still shows airbag unit problem (locked after accident). After reading 93c66 for the second time, I see the data has changed ... crash data is back (not all of it). Am I doing something wrong or is it absolutely necessary to replace all components prior to connecting airbag unit?
