ive forgot my password on my blackberry mobile phone and cant access anything on it
just comes up as
device is locked followed by 3 options - unlock, cancel and emergency
ive tried unlock and entering the password but doesnt unlock tried enetering password twice
i know you have 10 tries
if any one can help i be most greatful

p.s i dont want to format the device as need things off there

I hate to tell you this but unless you remember the password, then ten tries and reset really is your only option!

If you have been running Blackberry Protect, once the phone has rebooted then you can restore everything you've lost up to the date of your last backup.

If you haven't been running Blackberry Protect then all of the words needed to describe your situation end in ED!! :(

i tried entering password 10 times now didnt get it
so phone wiped is self clear
loading new software on it and now got battery sign with red x on screen http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/5621i44543C1841434630/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1

Try flashing it with the battery out!

Only pop the battery back when prompted to do so...

that worked thanks
but now when i try connecting to wifi or take a picture or change ringtone phone will restart by its self

Download a copy of BBSAK here: BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (http://bbsak.org/)

Ensure that you have a full battery!

Locate the latest FULL firmware package for your device.

Use BBSAK to wipe the device and then reinstall the firmware.

That should do the trick!

Download a copy of BBSAK here: BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (http://bbsak.org/)

Ensure that you have a full battery!

Locate the latest FULL firmware package for your device.

Use BBSAK to wipe the device and then reinstall the firmware.

That should do the trick!

What sometimes happens when reloading the OS is that some applications from the old version don't get wiped when you reload!

BBSAK is a very handy tool but always read the label as they say! :)
