hi i have same problem last days maybe is key,but need test,if key good normal problem is ezs mcu bad if you try give hot in board key turn.
i change my ezs and work fine.

Remote doesn't work. I can diag EZS and ESL and there is no fault code. Tomorrow I will check actual values in EZS and see if the key is bad

EZS don't see key.(see piture)
But if I check the "15 and 50 terminals" the first value is "key in EZS" with value yes or no. If i put the key in then goes "yes" and take off goes "no"

Can you mark where I must check coil and what values.

Check in 2 points next to capacitor, or in capacitor, capacitor is in parallel with coil. Values between 5 and 15 homs.
But first:
Have +12 and GND in ESL?
Remote open and close doors?

Heat EZS MCU and see result.
Can use hair drier or something.

On of them must write wich key you use and if is this key allowed to start.

If the value ok you must make the EZS hot. But it is fault. You need a new one. You can not use only a used EZS

EZS can't recognize the key you can see on my photo.
I tried to heat mcu with hot air gun but results is the same.
I will try to clean the hole and check the coil in key and report.

I brought the EZS and the key to a mercedes "specialist".
He said that the key is wrong, he will make a new key. Yesterday the guy called me and said that EZS is faulty too.... He can't read the MCU or he is read only FF. At home I checked the car with DAS and make diag on EZS and everything was fine (except key) VIN and Km value.
I don't think it is possible....I should have read the MCU before I gave to him. Anyway I think this is a common problem.
EZS can be diagnose just can't recognize key.

Often this problem occurs when Mercedes, if the CPU is damaged it is very likely from there is the problem of car.

But he is a "specialist". It would a better way if I buy AVDI spec finctions for MB and NEC key programmer........
I haven't any tool to program new keys that's why I'm go to him....
If I buy a new used EZS with the same part number. I just have to renew ECU and ESL and dashboard and teach in to the drive authorization system right?

about a ear ago I had a problem with W203 EZS wich was with W211 board, as I remember the number was 209 545 05 08, when trying to read with xprog, flash and eeprom was erased, then i startet to read about that problem nad find that the same EZS and some simular with same board and different numbers have that problem when try to read the MCU, even with AK400/500, elnec, Rosfar and other programers... so if the MCU is bad, no matter who and waht tool uses, there is a way to erase flash and/or eeprom in it when try to read it...
