just scrape and find copper and solder a new thread is much easier, do not waste time searching the acid, I have and it is not good solution

I agree, the amount of time and mucking around in that area with his soldering iron he is lucky not to damage the wheel speed sensor wires. I make connection on that main earth and run around side of board to caps on right hand side

Use ordinary solder, scrape away silicon from brass pad, sometimes I remove the two alloy wires completely. I twist two copper strands together, solder to brass pad, then run around the back of the board to the to SMD caps on the right hand side. The outher edge of both is ground, connect copper wire to there. I have done over 100 this way with no probs
