i bet you got that from the site that sells the cards
i think i will wait and see if we get a new data file
i think everyone knows that nothing we get for free
lasts for ever and even if it means anouther cam update
from duolabs ie;v2.4 i for one will update because anyone
who has had the last six months from the diablo cam has
had great value for money again'st paying the subscription
for digialb alone never mind canal+ nordic chns that we still
have

Correct Diablo Abracadabra and m2+ have all stoped opening Digitalb reading further reports on other sites it looks like the end of the Hack !
Cas7 has been used by Scandinavia television providers for a few years now with the like of Norwegian Telekom using it, it has remained secure and never been opened with devices such as Duolabs Cams directly or indirectly or by using EMU & Keys.
While many waite and see if any new bin file turns up for Cams and cards, If duolabs are to receive keys from providers in the future they will pay a high price for the privalge seeing as they have gone commericial with a receiver the The Q-Box with the Cam hardware built in (useless if you cant open anything), this is not a conax approved receiver, remembering it Set-Top Box and chip manufactures that run this entire industry.
Other Conax Providers are due to switch to the new Cas7 later this year as with Nagravision we will not see any movement untill all providers have chanege over.
Keep your money in your pocket untill we see what happens & what you will need, this happens every number of years ! remember we never had it so good as over for the past 2-3 years.

A little more salt in the wound, All conax encrypted channels on Thor 1 will be updated with the new Cas7 in April/May to to coincide with Nagravision timescale of there changeover of channels on Thor to Nagra 3.
I have been reading reports from German Websites today which indicate that there is a concerted effort by Encryption companys in Europe into the taming of piracy at a RSA hosted Conference back in mid 2008.
A lot of this is largely down to the economic climate and the cost of piracy to Providers, encryption companys and Satellite operators such as SES Astra who charge the providers for transponder space.
It could be that very little will be opened in the next year possable two across all encryptions due the costs incurred because of upgrading or newer encryptions been installed at a cost to providers.
Time will tell (but thing are looking a lot worse now) I personaly thought that it was likely that Conax would be the next EMU replacement when Nagra2 was finaly gone and that Duolabs would be opening Nagra3 providers, but I have been proven wrong.

Dont say it's time for official Digitalb cards!!!!!
How does this compare to the history of sat tv and hacks?
I would have thought (yes, more in hope) that the hackers would be maybe ready to spring when encryption changes.

i'm sure it's being worked along with the other encryptions
but there's no gaurantee when we get file's for free but
who knows what the diablo team will come up with.
they could open something else who knows, thats
the way this hobby works, i hope the diablo cam keeps going
it's been my best buy and it's certainly been the best support cam

Most hacks start off by been commericial in nature such as Cards, then the card gets hacked and it ends up in a patch & softcam, with Duolabs they buy the codes from the provider in return for some call a indirect subscription both Duolabs and the provider make money from it.
Just looking around you can see how little has been hacked over the past few years because we were happy enough with Nagravision been open and receiving Premiere and Digitv etc, so you could say as we have had our eye off the ball for the past few years the technology used is far more advanced and now there is very little open the hacking teams are having to learn new things to catch up.
I personaly I think once Duolabs went commericial with the Qbox receiver moving away from external Cas & Cam interfaces units changed the nature of the industry because they have a unfair advantage by means of getting the codes to open channels, other Receiver companys such as Dreambox and many more companys will suffer sales if there receivers cant open anything thus not selling units.
Chip manufactures for receivers invest large amounts of money in R&D developing chips to open channels using third party software, this industry would be in tatters if Duolabs are the only means of opening channels.
What we are now seeing is a line been drawn in the sand and for companys and manufactures to start all over again on a even playing field but it will take time.
Finaly Polsat D+ TPS Premiere are all reporting that new subscribers are up almost 30% since changing encryption or upgrading encryption, so for most Providers they are already seeing more money than ever before, So yes we could all end up buying subscription from these companys in the future if you wish to continue viewing these channels. (I hope not)

Most people know now that dream pay for cccam and if cccam can share the cards most people with a dreambox will be happy even if they have to plug a usb card reader in to the box so they can use there cards so most people with a dreambox will be happy , but you are 100% about duolabs there will be a big push for there hd receiver from what a couple of people were saying that have done dev work for rick the pri*k from duolabs the only way they can push this new receiver is with some thing big and what could be more bigger than nagra 3 well apart from nds o and the money was big they payed for there last so called hack so im sure they can back it up again

ALUN......did i read in one of your posts that
n3 had been open on the dreambox on 30w
for a short while??....if so then surely its only
a matter of time before we get it open permanently?
be it a cam, patch,or card?...
i cant help thinking that if theres nothing open then
receiver sales will plummet, and a lot of people in this
industry are gonna struggle,so maybe people within
the industry will put their heads together and find a
solution to keep something open at least to keep
sales going!!....

Thats correct Mvision opened Nagra 3 for a few Hours/Days on 30w, but since nothing, I believe also Premiere have had security issues with Nagra3 recently aswell, even a Dreambox team had a sniff of Nagra3 but only cleared for a hour or two unitll some master codes changed, some of these findings were not made public.
If Duolabs continue to be the big player in opening channels with there equipment only, the knock on effect for other manufactures and processor maufacture will be critical, with many reciveiver not been made or sold. Its a big industry one company cannot control everything it will distroy this industry.

also alun....
is it the diablo cant clear cas7 cos of software issues?,or is it that duolabs dont have access to the keys anymore....if its just software couldnt duolabs release an upgrade for the diablo??
alunfennell

Yeah diablo cant clear cas7 untill new software or hardware is developed for it, then there is the keys that are needed ...No Provider will give out or sell Keys at this very early stage it would be far to blatant and may brake contractual details between Provider and Conax even in the future maybe in a year or two when things die down then we mght see things opening up again regarding Conax.
