Renault megane key card Not Detected, suggestions please!

Hi friend

i have R.megane 2002 1.5l dci which had failed to recognize key card sometimes yes and sometimes no. So I ordered one new card before the arrival of the new card key panel showed key card not detected. okk I said that the old key card was already, now with the new key card from dealer and it is not detected as well.Anyone ever had this experience, guilt is the key card or card reader??
New key card cant put dash on light when i press start button, maybe is defect on key card!!??
I need dash ON ligth for programing new key card, how i can do that?? have some bypass for ignition ON??

Yes, old key card, and new key card why is not detected despite not being programmed should put dash ON mode or not!??

Just open old card and fix it. i think if card not recognized it dont turns ignition on. but it should be possible to program without ignition on. For example in this video: Renault CARD KEY PROGRAMMER via OBDII - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRo6yGNZBV4)

Will be possible to fix old key card in order to gain access to car and program new key card only once that is?

if you can read old card on any device (transponder) and car can not see the card + you can not code new card then the reader is faulty
I know that renault cars die like flies but its dead easy to get new one coded.
my friend had faulty reader once - same situation like yours.

either persist today could start the car, pity it had not yet extracted the 12 digit pin code, so I think the problem is the old key card. I'll extract the code and try to start the ignition again and try to adapt the new key card after it will arrive at a conclusion.

Correct, you were right the old card was defective. I could understand how it could work with the card reader out put the key in the ignition and pressed card to work but nevertheless programmed a new key card and everything works normal now.
