I have a 2001 w220, I was trying to rewrite correct mileage into EIS and was unable to read 1L85D mask chip, I tried 9s12x programmer, and also removed chip from board and tried my xprog with no help.
I have tried to solder and resolder 9S12 wiring to board too may times and now I think board is bad.
I still have no luck reading chip!!!....

My question is, If I have dumps from ECU and ESM can I make a dump for a EIS? or Can I have a EIS renewed?

Thanks for help

Hi.
To write EIS you need only keys data from ECU or ESM and SSID from key or Dashboard.
But you need to rewrite key(s).

I have finally and sucessfully read EIS dump, if I purchased used one with same chip could I just rewrite chip with my dump?
Or could I exchange chip in used with one I have?

All you need to do rewrite only eeprom to used EZS and it will work.Do not need write Flash.

I have done this before.

Tried......only key remote works..... put key in and doesn't unlock to turn.
If I post shifter and ecu can someone make a eis dump for me?

Oh and when I read codes with das it says I have short to positive in output circuit 15 (code B1012(9012))....... did I possibly damage EIS??

If remote control works key is valid for EIS.Problem is in your soledering - bad solder, short circut etc.
