Hi everyone, I must apologise for asking for help again... I have been trying to find out how to ftp the MGcamd to my receiver then add the keys I need in order to view the Greek Digea TV channels on 9e but I have really struggled and although trying so hard to learn for myself I would really appreciate anyone PM'ing me to offer some help as I really need some guidance but once I get to know what to do it would be a breeze to repeat. If anyone could help it would make my day as I have elderly relatives that would be happy if I could get these channels to work for them... and me too! Thank you. :joyous:

what box do you have and what image, you should be able to download mgcamd from the server and there will be a plugin for the keys then you just download when you need them

Hi blueflash234, thank you for your reply which I appreciate. I have an Xtrend ET9200 receiver and using the openpli 2.1 image (the version before the 3.0) but am unable to download MGcamd directly via the image for some reason and having searched cannot find the correct plugin I need for the keys also...

I too have been struggling for some time to get MGcamd working and am frustrated at the number of available versions of this program. I don't now if a specific version of MGcamd is required for Enigma 2 running Blackhole 2.0.5 which is the combination I'm using at the moment.

I don't know how to tell whether MGcamd is installed correctly or whether it is connecting to a server.

Any help would be appreciated.

All the cams that are installed are in the blue panel on Blackhole. All the info needed to work bh is almost always given with the download link

I may have it installed, but how can I tell if it is attempting to connect with the server?

Is there a log file I can check?

Where is the download link you mention?

The download link is wherever you downloaded the image from. There is usually a full button map in whatever thread you got the list from that explains what options are in what panel. If the channels clear it is connecting and you will see the ecm info and the likes by pressing the Blue button (Blue panel)

1.38c serves no purpose now as jsc have change rom. 1.37/1.38 was introduced for viaccess 22610 provider ect and you need a patched version of 1.35 to clear B*****,regards mdt

As MDT rightly points out to get Bulsat you need the patched 1.35a version although most would use 1.38 which is all that is required now anyway

I read somewhere that I should be able to download and install MG**** from the add ons menu,
but I can't find it.

Is there a recommended place from which to download MG****? Preferably as an installable package.

I can tell you now that Blackhole do not and have not carried Cams on there download servers for the best part of the last 3 years, you will have to source these seperately.

Do a search on the forum for Benny/9 as they may have slipped through the net so to speak

I have never heard of ecm info... What does it look like? Is there a screenshot I can see?

Is there an official maintainer/source for downloading MG****?

No need for screen shot, short press Blue button and you will see the Blue panel which contains the installed cams use the arrows either side of the ok button on remote to scroll through the cams installed. If you have a cam installed and setup properly you will see the ecm times (the lower the better) on that screen which will confirm you are connected and scrambled channels will clear (you will need to be on a scrambled channel before you press the Blue button) as cams do not connect or show as connected when viewing fta

It says Ecm Info not available

There are 3 CAMs installed Mg 1.35a being the default.

I guess this means it isn't set up properly....

Yes but you will need a softcam key or the unmentionable to clear scrambled channel

I tried that but when I select the version of MGcamd I want to download it says there is an error. I think it's because i'm using the openpli 2.1 version. I think i'll just give up as I've tried to find out for myself but haven't been able to. have had to start a second job so haven't got as much time to learn as I once did i'm afraid.
