I've got a new 2002 Discovery Valeo remote which was supplied without the Barcode. The sticker inside the key is 27E95F. Is there any easy way of calculating the barcode for this remote. Cheers.

If you have Autologic tool, try to learn without barcode

No Autologic I'm afraid. I read on a Land Rover forum there was an algorithm that can be used to calculate the code from the key serial number.

I have a calculator for it but unfortunately it's not mine to share.
There was a memo sent out to all land rover dealers years ago to calculate the barcode from the sticker inside the remote. I'll see if I can find it later and post it on the forum

Present for you spreadsheet for calculating LandRover and Rover 75 Barcodes.
You must enter region type as the prefix differs depending on remote frequencey.
UK remotes are G North America is J and South Africa is H
For all Rover 75`s its N.
Enjoy

Search the mini remote thread. I found the calc on the land rover forum and another member has converted it into a nice little exe file.

Hiya Cromwe11

The VALEO calculator is fantastic. I just wanted to record in a more formal manner my thanks to you for sharing it (I have pressed the thanks button)

I do a lot of LR's, so this is invaluable

Cromwe11, Thank you for the Calculator. I was getting ready to desolder the chip to see if there is a way to work out the barcode but then I found this..

Thanks!

I have used mvp clone with varying success to program these remotes to mini and rover 75.
