Hi Everyone..

I was wondering if it is possible to put the Jetta TDI MM5 cluster i have into service mode so it can be adapted again. I am assuming it is possible but maybe through flashing?

can someone chime in and share their experience with this..

Service mode don't have anything with adapt on car. For MM5/MM7 cluster you don't need a working key to modify odo or to adapt on car.
You just need a proper tool to do that.
For example, AVDI can read and modify immo data on MM7 cluster via OBD2:

i dont have access to avdi is there another tool i can use? also is it ever possible to just flash cluster to new or service mode so i can just adapt using regular tools since i know the original pin and have ecu access?

X-Dash form SMOK can do the job as well.
On this cluster Pin will not help you or some regular tool.
On this cluster key needs to be preprogramed and write direct to immo block. Same as VDO Mirconas 2007+.
