Carprog China clone - Both K and CAN not working - A1 adapter changed everything

Hello guys,

Could anyone suggest anything that I should try out to repair Carprog.
Tried programming Renault Laguna and Megane cards,no communication with the ECU both cars.

A1 adapter changed everything.

4.74 is different serial I think that you will have to chenge at88 content (different LIB)

I buy 3 carprog. Only on one A1 works. And seller sent me more one. Thats 4, one works!

with H-tag and 5x100_OHM_jTAG.jpg on LPT and at91sam7s256 -sn-m61.bin file you can upgrade carprog to version 4.74
this work sure with this soft and lib file

Hi Guys,
I have a chinese carprog clone V7.28. I tested it on Opels, K-line functions working well.
But should I update to 4.74? Is it better? (I know 7.28 is just a bulls..t number, truly which version is equal to 7.28?)
If I know correctly, no chance to use emulator function, mainly Volvo Dash CAN emulator?

For exp. if you have hw 4.01 ,you can use any version of sofware but open only 4.01 option

i had same issue - i just replaced the resistors and after tool was working ok.

I never put pin 16 extra 12 v it is no nesesary

Yes buddy, i did replaced the MCP, i bought all set from codecard. i did also checked for 12+ on that mofet which gives the volts, so i see no need to connect wire from pin 16 to it

Strange that the repair kit didn't fix your issue..maybe it's one of the resistor like the other guy said?

Using this version does not have anything changed, it is the lib file and the dumb in the atmel chip that is what remain the same and give the same interface as whatever version you re using. So i do not buy the idea of 7.28 stuff337664

Mine works fine but my mates don't even after hw repair so he bought another A1 from China and all is good now so maybe a bad pcb

your fake version "7.28" is the old 4.01 version, better upgrade to version 4.74 for more activated functions......

only way to see is look at the serial number of your unit (lib file)
most likely its fw is 4.01 so any software above this is not going to give any new activations as its all in the firmware
v7.28 is software version not fw

The only ching i found that voltage output from KF50 is a little bit more than 5v it gives 8.55v for 14v input ???

I'd recommend replacing it. I also had a problem with the KF50, don't remember the exact voltage it was giving but it wasn't 5v. Replaced it and then passed all the hw tests including with D1 adapter. I think you can find a KF50 or equivalent in A1 if you want to try replacing it before buying one.

Hi all

I bought 10.93 and it arrived today, however I get a communication with CAN problem.

I looked inside the cable after looking at a few issues online and a few people seem to recommend checking the resistors and capacitors inside. I had a look at I THINK that there are 2 round the wrong way.

Stupid question, but is's A1 only for ECU's?
I have used eeprom, mcu, ews, airbag cables, but never needed A1 yet.
