Anyone had experience with At25265 chip not write , write Error? Also try as 95256 same thing , Raed very good but not want to write?
I think this chip has write protect on it .
Had to use Carprog and Carprog write with out any problem, but I notice at some area like 47% Carprog stop for few seconds then continue .
It looks like VVDg Prog do not have option for write protect chip.

I have problem with reading mb91f060 uP. I've connected it properly acordingb6o Toyota Rav4 pinout photo in dashboard section. The software gives my only device error or usb driver wrong, I've installed old drivers and the error is still the same. I've also tried connecting programmer too 12V and still it gives me the same error.

I've manged to read this uP with UPA so I know that the connection points are ok.

Please help me.

Hi lets clarify something . If VVDi does not read acertain chip .. Where do you complain about it as it is on there list .
On the Xhorse APP in help centre . It does not open up or am i doing it wrong????

I am trying to read MC9s12XB128CAL Mask2M42E From nissan NP300 Continental BCU .
It is secured .. Everything i tried does not work to unsecure and read .
As all of you know i chase customer away if he is in hurry for his vehicle ( Can take up to three years to start one)
This one is sorted now but have the old lockset with me and that keeps losing immo code between keys.bcu or Ecu .
so want to read all data and then decompile and learn from that ...

So now need vvdi prog to read this . even if i make support mad about it ...

I got through to support .. touch woood not making promises on it ... i have xprog full with not all activations clone and working better than anyone on forum ..xprog checks your activations somehow and then blocks it if they want

thanks for the answer, on both programmers the battery is empty, when I recharged the battery the battery program recognized it, but on the other I changed the battery it still doesn't work, only the red light is on, the yellow light is not on and the computer does not recognize usb

Not true. Just contact Xhorse support. They always fixed this for free. Except for the freight and Customs cost.

Usually you should return to your distributor and he must arrange replacement for free from the factory. So it's not always necessary to return directly to China.

Need to work 100%, but you need to work with big precision to not make short circuit on pcb or anothers mistakes !

If open the device and solder on pcb to connect in paralel second battery in some test points which go at - and + of ori battery, after you can unsolder safe the ori battery and replace it with new one or with new one with more capacity if fit in the sampe position in pcb to solder it, after can remove the second battery what it was solder in paralel for not lose the voltage when replace the ori battery, for not lose the data licence what have the tool !

This metod need to work for all device what have RTC with battery inside and need it to be replaced at some time the battery, like for: VVDI Prog, VVDI2, FVDI, AVDI, SMOK, Iprog Pro, ....

Did you try to read it in circuit or with desoldering? There are sometimes problems reading I2C eeproms in circuit.

WRONG read 93C66 CIM, eprom soldering over pcb adapter VVDI.
Tango wont recognized file e2p read whit VVDi, Unknow Version error.
I have try read whit UPA and TANGO recognized correctly file.

I have had some early F bmw series, i needed to press read a few times, for i could read.
I never ever tried force unlock myself.

2) Connected +12V to the VVDI PROG
3) The processor did not warm up

BMW F-series CAS4 with this processor mask reads great!

Just kept the EEprom adapter PCB board, on the tool. All the time.
Even if clip and cable was not connected.

Kept getting errors.
When reading EWS, with adapter ver1.
Took me a while, before I found out that the PCB. Was the reason.

Now the other day, I tried to read a eeprom with clip.
It kept failing each time.

Error, after using this PCB board and 12V power earlier.
Not sure if only the PCB is bad.
Or the tool.
But keep reading EWS, as usual.

So advise is to remove the board, after the reading of eeprom/clip.

Now I know why probably I coulnd't read Porsche BACKUP 2M25J, it was exactly the same 98% and chip crack failure. I don't have balls to play more with Porsche BCM and try to force unlock so I refused a job, it was need to add extra key, not AKL.

Need to set lock bit. But this is a 50/50 lottery game.
Check with the dealer how much the new BCM and keys will cost (and probably VTS). And then decide whether to contact this car. Good luck

Not all 35080 will be erased through the vvdi prog adapter. But if the erase is successful, the write is possible 100% OK
The system needs to be cleared FF

I like this programmer and have few others devices from VVDI but this is very irritatiing me when i need to get other programmer to programm this chip. I checked adresses with HC908 datasheet and flash adresses is wrong.

VVDI prog is unable to read and write HC908AZ60A (2j74y) flash, eeprom is ok, but when i read flash always have read error(00) at 99%. Do you check and repair this problem. I wrote to support few times in last two years but without effects. Maybe you have a problem on the 35080 adapter side. Mine writes and erases OK, sometimes it has a problem with erasing the chip installed in the bmw meters.
But I take a new chip and it's okay.

Are you 100% certain it's not a soldering issue, like bad/weak contact?

The security chip in your vvdiprog called DALLAS is only storing the secu data when power is present. If it's lost then the DALLAS is going empty and your prog flip to "unsecured state" and no more working. Thats why a big backup battery soldered on your prog pcb. If your backup battery is depleted or faulty OR thats the main reason:
When you plug the usb port and the power comsumption is little bit bigger (like you attached some adpter to the vvdiprog too) or the backup battery is aging, or your laptop usb is not working very well...etc If this conditions are met the the power is lost (even is just milliseconds) and the Dallas is going empty.

The only solution when you asking your reseller to refurbish your prog. Bcose it's the very basic security programming stuff they have to send back your prommer to china.

Unfortunetly it's a very common problem in the automotive diag/etc industry. (cgdi, vvidi, smok..etc) For me the whole concept is inexplicable. They know the DALLAS need continous power and they are know the backup batterys are going bad sometimes, this simple led to extra work, time, shipping and bad reputation especially when far more better security solutions are available.

VVDIPROG and V850 D70F3537 secured mcu

Hi. I need some help/advice on this issue. I have a audi dash with Secured V850 D70F3537 (BGA type)
I want to erase the chip and put other flash.
I did connect only once with this NEC and i did read successfully the ID. After that no way to connect any more.
I did try two vvdiprog devices, two mcu adaptor V3 and two instrument clusters from audi. I did try with vcc connected and also power instrument directly. Both dashes are working ok so mcu is not damaged
A friend of mine did report that he was able to connect and erase the chip.

I am heaving same Problem, This is EVL with New updated board, , I checked Pin out compared to old and pin out is same , but something preventing from connecting to chip.This is definitely V1 Secure , but need to find out how to read, we need VVDI Tech support.
I also solder New MCU to old Board and reads fine , not problem, old board was one that do not have Security V1 and read with out connecting XTAL.

New Resonator looks like Cristal new style, I did test that by soldering Old Resonator and did not help.
Something on Board make is to be Secure , it is not MCU problem it is something on board.

I am heaving same Problem, This is EVL with New updated board, , I checked Pin out compared to old and pin out is same , but something preventing from connecting to chip.This is definitely V1 Secure , but need to find out how to read, we need VVDI Tech support.
I also solder New MCU to old Board and reads fine , not problem, old board was one that do not have Security V1 and read with out connecting XTAL.

New Resonator looks like Cristal new style, I did test that by soldering Old Resonator and did not help.
Something on Board make is to be Secure , it is not MCU problem it is something on board.

VVDI Prog 5.1.2 -> 8-OTHER -> LandRover ->RFA_SEC(9S12XEQ384)(ADAPTER) , when unlocking chip get a Chip crack failure, this is when using the XDPGSOGL cable with the Landrover KVM no solder adapter.
The same adapter works fine when using Mini Prog.

For older Motorolas the Orange 5 programmer is the best. VVDI prog is quite good for newer MCUs and for eeprom and other external memory chips there are other progs that are better than VVDI.

I have found a issue with software v5.1.3.

Every time i try to use XDNP16 adapter to unlock a secured kvm with 384 chip, it fails.

The security byte location is wrong, it is trying to unlock it with 256 chip location. please the screenshot i have uploaded

I have Autel XP400pro and i use it as programmer for MCU, for eeprom not very much ...

1 week ago i had realy big problem trying to read INFINEON XC2336B-40F from an airbag (the diagram wasn't correct etc) ...
after spenting half day to find the correct wiring and give it external 12V blah blah ....

end up with a reading which was not correct also pfff ....

anyway ... does it worth for me to buy VVDI prog as a second programmer ??
or is it goin to be almost "same as i already have" ??

I think that VVDI prog should be a little better and more stable ...

issue still present in latest release, if you have a test rfa/kvm then please check

1st check if you can unlock chip with solder wires to be sure VVDI prog is good, because is know issue
