No, i connected the power supply it came with and an external Battery connected to the I/O Switch in the galletto Cable. I installed the Driver new from the new fix 0475 software Folder. Before Everything was grayed out, then i Made a fresh xp then it Worker but with low voltage

There must have been something wrong with the wiring in the MPPs and perhaps also the galletto when I could not read the ECU, even though I had the correct diagrams. I have built the ECU back into the car to see if it is still alive and the car went well as before (only with fault exhaust system defect, return rate too high). Then I connected MPPs with the OBD socket and could immediately connect and read the ECU. I used AES EGR remover to remove EGR. Checksum 2x with titanium and MPPs, everything wonderful, written back and the car immediately goes into the emergency, fault exhaust system defective, only turns up 2000rpm and stutters. Wasn't before. Is such a universal EGR remover crap?

One thing I noticed about flash writing. LPC2000 was unable to execute the code after uploading. It stood forever since executing uploaded code and nothing happened. I left that he could upload it.

Im going to rework the galletto board but thought i would update it first,but I have noticed that near the chip U5 there is a resistor marked 562 that seems to be out of place and looking at other boards on this thread isnt normally there ,any thoughts on this ?

remove usb fgtech from your pc and remount again without close program fgtech

First of all, you can use UPA com port hardware as programming interface or some similar interface. Connect RxD TxD and GND and in Philips LPC210x software select a COM port where is UPA connected. FG2 interface must be connected with PC via USB cable. On this way LPC2119 will get power supply. I am all do it with Philips software, ID, blank check, erase and programming. After programming must disconnect FG2 from USB and connect again and after that you can in Philips software do it command Compare flash.
Under XP SP3 i get message from software that is detected software XP or lower and under Win7 i get another message related to kind of OS but software work.

Can anyone help me with a repair to a fgtech...basically bdm adaptor wasnt connected to the correct bdm pads on the ecu.....ecu is dead.and so is fgtech.

Ive tried it on another ecu and bdm is now not working.

Don’t worry about it on lpc2119, just enter bsl mode, erase, and program new fw version.

Galletto after revision on 0475.
I start EOBD2.exe under Win 7/64, EOBD2 crash.
But if I rename fgt2xx.dll to ftd2xx.dll and start EOBD2.exe, a window "GHelper Wait Starting" will appear.
I quickly close the Ghelper window then launches EOBD2 flawlessly.

Can someone test whether that works with other computers synonymous.

If galletto still working then mcu was not erased.

Use low baud rate on the phillips tool, 9600. Is slower but better when you have communication issues.

I have try with both flash utility (Philips and Flash magic).
interesting is this:
with Philips tool: erase successful, but blank check = device is not blank (and galletto still working)
with Flash magic: erase successful, blank check not possible (operation failed) , security read possible (CRP level 2or3), write not possible

hello fantomel I bought from a few days a fg galletto v 54 clone, the first attempt to try it in writing was blocked, I turned it off and made to repair the software and blocked the software with gray windows inactive, I have made a lot of attempts reinstalled the installed software the fixes I changed pc I tried on xp and on win 7 but nothing always blocked sometimes if I turn off the pc and reigning the next day you activate the software for a few seconds after you hear the noise turn off a relay in the hardware cock and again all gray give me a hand please what advice I thank you in advance and sorry for the trouble

we change the bad components of china v54 pcb with better quality (components).

v48 is different pcb and it can' t be same with v54...

0475 is the firmware-software and cooperates flawlessly with v54 pcb.

"simply" rework the components of v54 pcb (hw) and update the firmware from 0386 to 0475 if needed, because sοme sellers (ebay-aliexpress) have already the 0475.

I am waiting the converter usb to ttl and I will try to upgrade...

The fix .etp and .bin used after reflash hex 0475 with lpc...it use at the end, for the communication software 0475 with ftdi v54.
1 flash file .hex
2 unistall old drivers and then old software 0386
3 install software 0475 and new drivers
4 use the 2 fix tool ...

you need to change lpc soldered with new lpc2119, then you can do what you need

Hi, i used ttl adapter to flash .hex. Then i forgot to disconnect from computer and when i used Mprog(or ftreadwrite - cant recall) i ended up with a TTL adapter that shows up as "FGTECH" on windows :)

just small feedback. I have now successfull write the 0475 firmware.
I have buy new LPC MCU and replace it. Then was possible to write it. Just for info for another mates with the same writing problem.
My FGTech works now under Win10.

Hi, i used ttl adapter to flash .hex. Then i forgot to disconnect from computer and when i used Mprog(or ftreadwrite - cant recall) i ended up with a TTL adapter that shows up as "FGTECH" on windows :)


you can restor ftdi232 eep

1 edit driver of fgtech and re-install your ftdi (add the vid/pid for ftdi usb rs232 converter in seting file of fgtech driver)
2 use Mprog and restor dump eep ftdi to ftdi usb rs232 converter
3 disconnect / connect from computer

I found some scarce information that there are already 2014 and 2017 software versions for Chinese clones, but I still can't get complete information from Chinese manufacturers. Upgraded the tool to 0475 and now it won't work (greyed out)??

Spent hours trying to figure out what the problem was - on top of the obvious FTDI settings/eeprom/drivers and LPC2119 firmware...

In my case the 181 (18k) resistor - which needs to be jumped with GND for programming - went kaput.
This caused the P0.14/INT1 on the LPC stuck in LOW state, which made it never run user code (Galletto's code!).
After adding a 220k resistor (value does not really matter for as long as it's in kiloohms) - all started to work!

Hopefully it helps someone!!!
