Seems every post you put here is same content - like complaining about how much price had dropped in short time or something. Happens with most tech, in time price comes down as newer tech is released.

Instead of bitching about say buying some authorisation months ago at x price and reaped the rewards over these months, and now half the price. Why don’t you then just wait the time (only months you said) and buy at the cheaper price? Of course you would have lost out on these months of jobs you could have down with the auth/tool (or whatever).

Worst option:
if you unlucky the backup battery is depleted. In this case the Dallas is erased and you have to return the vvdi to your reseller, and they send back to china to replace the backup and reinstall the Dallas sw.

If the data is correct, i should be able to put in a 2012 cluster.

Passat B6 from 2006 should be with EDC16 IPor MED9.
Read 6 byte CS via ECU and Scan 7th byte via working key.
If you fail to read ECU (Simos PPD or other ECUs that you cannot read via OBD), you need to get out the CCM and read the eeprom with programmer

You can read simos ppd but only with working key.

I did a4 rb8 today all key lost and all ok

There are 2 types of RB8 clusters. 12byte and 7 byte.
Seems that 7 byte ones have VIN number located few bytes farther in dump.
No problem to do it manually in dump as I did this time.

I am afraid on Passat B6 you will be struggling because the issue is on passat you will not able to turn ignition 3 / 5 times on some models to collect data not possible to copy on passat, then again I could be wrong.

I had BMW 2016 2 series with SWFL0000155E_018_120_010.
VVDI flashed as always but all showing "FEM need programming" I did it again with no errors and still the same.
I put all back in to the car and car did not start. So downgrade with ESYS and all ok.
The question is: Can anyone confirm did this SWFL version without any problems?

I am afraid on Passat B6 you will be struggling because the issue is on passat you will not able to turn ignition 3 / 5 times on some models to collect data not possible to copy on passat, then again I could be wrong.Today done a clone on Passat b6..
Very fast and easy.no problem to sniff.
Did not used vvdi key tool or vvdi2.used something else but worked good.

Transponder is good, also tryed with a few more and same problem. VVDI2 read ok those new transponders in autodetect.

Also tryed to prepare special transponder and same problem.

Many tools have problem with PPD. Not all versions covered. If they don't want you to strip the unit, clone the key. You need 96bit clone license + id48 data collector + token.
Anyway, these Passats are from 2005-2014. None of these have any warranty left. Taking out the comfort unit is no big deal.

I got the yellow ethernet cable thing but no software.

Yes, but you really do not need to do that to read diagnostic.
Turn hazards on for 30 seconds, at same time hold brake and turn light switch off/on few times.

After 30 seconds you will be able to communicate with module 46- CCM

I tried x17 first but I got wrong password fault when trying to make full read of new ecu. After talking to support, I used older version of x17 and used bl password read which patched the software and only after I was able to make full read. Support said maybe someone else modified this ecu before.

Some people were wondering if VVDI2 can do it, here in this thread - well, it can.
Actually most work is done with VVDIProg (read/write) and only preparing of the (dealer)key and generating the new dump with the new key is done with the VVDI2.
All is done by EEPROM soldering.

Soldering must be done very carefully and in high quality - these motorolas are extremely sensitive. Also 12V must be attached.

geso705 this is RB8 dash but it can be 7 byte so IMMO3.5.
I dont think it would work without immo off only by writing CS to dash...

Yes vvdi2 programmed a new original remote key purchased from an aftermarket source to a 2012 Audi A1 no problems.

i first pre coded and added key to the immo data directly, car would start but no remote!

I then learned the keys with the ignition and all good, key and remote worked perfectly. Hope this helps, always nice to know that your tool can do the job.

It is a cool software that costs 900 Taken but does not do what you want.

Mate, mate why You don't read cas on table. Downgrade by obd on car without charger its wery risk. Now read cas flash end eeprom on table and post here - meybe someone fix it for You.

It is a cool software that costs 900 Taken but does not do what you want.

VSS = GND
VDD = VCC
But you will need FLMD1 too. Find with a multimeter

your pic is UPA pinout and you planning to read with vvdiprog. And the vvdiprog using the FLMD1 pin. Use your multimeter

Or create dealer key, from ezs dump and learn with vcds.Tell me what I was doing wrong rob ??
I never maneged to succeed learning key with VCDS in Crafter...

I had a weird situation today
2012 Tiguan AKL
Read partial immo data and none of my VW remote head keys would be precoded with VVDI2, they all said the key had a checksum error and wouldn't learn to the car.
So then I tried just a 48 chip and used a wired Xhorse remote and it did precode the chip and learn to the car but then the remote wouldn't program. I had to program the remote with the AutoProPad for full key functionality.

i had the same with T5. i broke down the tp antenna and replaced with a simple glass id48.
