Hello guys,
can someone please help me?
I need the login code of my dashboard, part number is "1Z0 920 841 D".
It's a Skoda Octavia, 2.0 liter diesel engine.
With VAG Commander I've got a dump of the eeprom, please find it attached.
Some information I got already with NYO4.0 yet:
Microcontroller type: 24C32
Date: 04.12.2004
SW version: VD1-000
SW: V0914
HW: 056
Can someone please calculate the login code of my dump?
I need it to get into the dashboard via VCDS for changing some adaption channels which are inaccessible without that key.
THANKS A LOT!!!

Hi potatodog,
thanks for your reply!
I need the 4-digit key (and added a "0" at first position, e.g the key is "1234" so I have to put "01234" into the login field in VCDS).
See this picture of VCDS:

For getting acces to the adaption channels of the dashboard, where could I find the correct key? I've thought the key calculated from the eeprom is the right one for doing that.
I want to change the lighting of the instrument cluster, if it is day (head light is off) I want to have the needles illuminated. And the channel for staging I want to activate. This is when the needles swipe once over the scale and back when switching on the ignition.
Sure, only something nobody really needs. :05.18-flustered:
I'm currently reading the flash of the instrument cluster, but it takes some time.
Can the right key then be calculated by the dumps of eeprom and flash?
Thanks a lot and have a nice evening!
Cheers Sebastian :)

Needle illumination is done via dump
Staging is impossible on this dashboard (Available with Golf6 based dashboards)
So don't waste your time. None of the functions you would like to activate are possible via VCDS and login

Hello exe123,
thank you for your reply, too.
I've thought that it would be possible...
5 years ago, when I bought the Octavia, I had a friend who worked in electronic developement at an university. They developed also software for Volkswagen. Once, he had a VAS from the university and we tried out some things on our cars.
And I've thought that he activated the staging on my car. It wasn't only the actuator test I believe...
Unfortunately he don't work there any more.
But surely you are right, I've found some information that "staging" is possible upon week 45 of 2009. But maybe the channel is only available but not activated in newer car.
Here is the Dump of the Flash, perhaps someone can calculate the pin, so that I can try it. And if staging and illumination will not work, I have the pin. How knows in which case I need it in the future.
Thanks a lot, guys! Have a nice weekend! :)

Hello potatodog,
you are right, 05315 is the key for the immobilizer, this also tells me the software "vag commander", too. But this key doesn't work for logging into the instrument cluster (see my second picture). It seems that there is an other key needed for getting control of the adaption channels.
Thank you again and have a nice week!

Do you not understand? There is no login for the adaption!!!

I only don't understand why you need to shout...
That's okay if there doesn't exist any key for the adaption channels. But "05315" doesn't work in the "Login"-Field in the second picture of VCDS I've posted. So I've thougt "05315" is the key for the immo only and there is an other for adaption. But it's okay, I don't want to waste your time any more.
Sorry, those things are completely new for me. I didn't knew that...
So I'm really sorry. Thanks again and good bye!
