i am working on a 2005 saturn vue, are the miles on the cluster or BCM??

what other pins do i need to lift to read?? i lift IRQ.. i get error..in upa

I would just do it three the wiring harness plugs with . OBD to wires power , ground , and Bus. Much easier. .. but as we all know many ways to skin a cat.

i try many ways .. i can not get it to work
i lift pins IRQ, pin Reset, pin PTA0, i still get error on reset.
i try lift pin IRQ, and PTA0, i get error on reset.
i keep getting errors on pin reset
does anyone have Pinouts for BCM??

ok guys got it to read,, with upa's i had to lift Pins IRQ and PTA0, and set baud rate manual , not auto..
could some one help with miles please..

Smelecom method using USAPROG

BCM

Connector C2--A1 is J1850 OBD PIN2
Connector C4--F,H is +12V
G GND

What baud rate did you manually set UPA to. I am able to read and verify the chip but when I try to program I get a write error. I have cut Pta0 irq reset no matter what i try i cant write chip.The auto baud rate sets it to 7680.

I tried it by powering up BCM with 12v and with 5v only from Upa same result. Can read verify but write always fails.
I don't know what else to try

jprog doesnt always do it , it says to pull fuse and nothing on some

I'm way late on this, but I've run into this problem before. Using UPA, I changed the device type to 908az60 (instead of as60) and it programmed correctly. I've seen that 3 or 4 times on those and it's always worked. It's amazing how many different variables there are on these BCMs even though they all look the same.
