VW Passat EDC17 pin/cs/immo off

Hello,

I'm trying to clone a VW Passat CC edc17cp14 and would need either immo transfer, only pin/cs (to try to pair with VCDS) or immo off.
Anyone willing to help?

Thanks for the into ttzag. I encountered another problem/I'm not sure I'm doing this right.
So the problem is/was that I cannot copy the whole contents of internal flash because of OTP. So I went on and copied OTP area 0x1000 to 0x17FFF from the "new" one, to the old internal flash reading and then flashed that to the "new" ecu. So far so good, now that I put the ecu in the car it starts and shuts down because of immo data ofcourse. So I tried adapting it by ross-tech wiki instructions and it looks like that it accepts the code from the old one (so I guess the code is not in eep/otp area?) but channel 50 is not accessible even after authentication. I guess I mingled something somewhere. I'll go play with it some more and after that do an immo off if nothing else works.

Hello, you can not clone this ECu without great tool, because this ECU are zones OTP
you can make IMMO OFF without DTC
Send me your dump for OFF file

EDC17 looks alot like EDC16.. Look around line 60 in hex.. There is the immo..

Line 60 in hex? All files contain 00's in that area.
Please post the exact address where you think immo data is stored.

It does not matter where data is stored, because it is encrypted and with out decrypt , you can not do nothing.
Also immo data it repeat few times in Eeprom file.

It is strong encrypted. Only few person on world have this algo. Encrypted data is useless as you cant transfer enctyption key wich is stored in otp area.

When all data will be stored in OTP then used ecu adaptation will be not possible. There is same scheme as in most dashes(encryption key in flash).

Yes of course, immo data should be adaptable in virgin state, I totally forgot about that.

Immo data is adaptable in used state too. At this stage only possible with uhds, vvdi, avdi. For this operation you need know 6byte cs+pin orginal + desired.

Looks like you'll need to do a software update. You can get .sgo files quite easly, but you'll need to extract them to flash or use a tool that knows how to flash .sgo. AFAIk.

First He needs adopt injectors, when you put new ECu injectors are not adopted to ECU .

Also some other sensors needs to be adopted

They all going to be same , any EDC17.
You have replacement ECU form Passat and you going to put in Audi A3, :hmmmm2::hmmmm2::hmmmm2:

So just to give some feedback on this. I cloned the software/flash with copying of the OTP area from donor to original and wrote that to donor ECU. Then I flashed garagetechs modified EEPROM to the donor and put it in car. Did the coding and injector coding with VCDS and the car started and drove OK. But it has the VAG error "18055/P1647/005703 - Check Coding of ECUs on Powertrain Data Bus" and the spiral MIL is blinking (the engine MIL is OFF). Anyone has any idea what's with that? I guess it has something to do with ABS coding and incompatibility between the softwares? I guess the OTP area doesen't contain only RSA key but some other info too?

This is exactly what I was talking , A3 ECU to Passat will not work. You need to find same or at least comparable ECU part # , to make it work.
