hi i got a highline cluster to fit my wifes midline cluster on her 2006 mk5 golf gti,the current cluster is 1k6920862 and the cluster i want to install is 1k6920874.
would it be any easier to turn of the immo on the ecu then deal with the clocks when they are installed.
what tools do i need to get this done as really want to do it myself as have done my own immo3 cluster on my mk4 golf..
what is the best way forward .
thank you..

Hi... All U need to do is to find someone who read PIN from old and new one and then it can be matched with VCDS/VAGCOM.
I asume that the pinout this clusters is the same..

Sounds like a med 9.1 in which case you must do a full bdm read and we can use abritus to switch immo off, regards

thanks for helping mate, ive got vag commander 1.4 cable on its way should that do all full bdm read or do i need other hardware.
if and when i get the immo off on the ecu how do i go about removing the flashing immo on the cluster and changing the klms.
i was looking into getting carprog full ,will this be any good it achieving what i need to do..
