Sounds like your trying to use crossepg 0.8.1 which doesn't work on zgemma range

Are you using both sat and cable, just cable, just sat? What epg system are you using. i.e rytec, crossepg (version) or epg refresh. What size of usb stick are you using and are you using timeshift, if so what is the buffer and number of events before clean up. All of these things can have an impact on recording but particularly the auto download of epg and amount of timeshift used in relation to the size in Gb of your usb stick

Ok first off 8gb is tiny if you want to record. These boxes record in fairly raw format which is .ts this makes file size fairly large, for example a 30 min episode of corry recorded from vm on itv hd comes in at 1.5gb. So a single 2hr film or 2 hrs of timeshift on hd channel will max out your usb.
Secondly crossepg won't work for vm as it will require using rytec sources which need updated regularly and often doesn't download anyway (parsing error).
Epgerefresh is the best epg system for vm. How you disable crossepg and enable epgrefresh differs depends on what image your using. I.e openatv, vix, openpli. If your using openatv I will give you instructions as to how you can sort it but if you really want to record you need to consider either an external hdd (with its own power supply) or a 64gb usb stick and keep it tidy

HH is correct had one if these myself they use a lot of GB for HD recordings best to get an external hard drive for these
