Renault ecu & Immo is Sagem Safir 1 & 2 interchangeable

Hi guys
Currently tring to source a Sagem Safir 1 ecu/immo set with keys no:7700108455 for a 98 1.2 clio II

as there dont seem to be too many of these about has anyone tried using a more commonly available Sagem Safir 2 ecu. would it work. if so what is the difference?

any help appreciated as keys lost so require complete set.

also failing that does anyone know if a Autocom CDP can programme new keys to original ecu if so are there any codes that would be required.

hi
you have to chec if the original unit safir1 works with infra red remote to unlock the immo. if yes, it wont work,the safir2 usualy works with transponder to unlock immo.
test it with a safir2 immoff
autocom wont program the keys,you will need the car pin and precoded keys to program keys
