Hello,
Does anyone have a Multistrada 1100 dump file please? Preferably 2008-2009, not 2007.
Any will do, just need to check something.
Thanks

I think I busted something on the dash... RPM needle is ticking like a clock's seconds hand. Even with key off.
I didn't pay attention when dumping the eeprom (24C16 with 8 addresses). I discovered that while powering the eeprom onboard I also powered the micro. So without too much care I sent a dump request made for the eeprom to the micro.
Might have screwed something up in the process.
Also there's a high pitch sound coming from the trafo on the pcb.
I made a mess...
I did manage to dump the eeprom though :) Stored it safe

What is the 93051 chip? on the pcb? Couldn't find any info, just some programmable voltage controllers, that happen to be i2c compatible. I think I might have sent some requests to it. Need to figure out what else is i2c enabled on the pcb so I know where I messed up.
While scanning for i2c devices to find the eeprom, i also found a 9th one, and I didn't pay much attention and sent the dump eeprom command to it as well. (had 8 other addresses from the eeprom that I was dumping).
I don't think the mb90f497g micro is i2c enabled... So I might have screwed with something else on the pcb. But I can't figure out what other device is i2c enabled...
Any ideas guys?
RPM needle is moving counter clockwise in small steps, like a backwards ticking clock. when it hits the hard stop, it just clicks in place. with or without key or contact....
Bike starts fine, all other display elements are good. Just rpm needle acting up.

Couldn't find anything, that's why I posted.
There's one 1100 file, but was linked via senspace and now the link is dead.
What the hell is i2c on the same power line with the eeprom? the address was something like 0x38 I think

Well, I found the other i2c address that I sent info to. It's the LCD chip. So that doesn't have to do with the problem that I got.
What the hell did I mess up?
Anyone else seen this problem?
RPM needle ticks counter clock wise, and when it hits the mechanical stop, it keeps on clicking in place. even with the key out of the contact.
The rest of the dash works.

I have another thought.
I dumped the eeprom using an Arduino.
I had a few goes until I managed to find the correct code (one byte address).
So maybe I screwed something up in the eeprom. That might make the tacho crazy? I might have corrupted the first page of info. Look pretty different from the 1000 ones (almost full of 0xFF)
What sits on the first page (16 bytes)?
I have discovered where odo is, trip, model number of the bike, and model number of the dash. I removed the key/code info from the dump myself.
mts1100 is mine, the other one is for 1000 found on this site.

Any thoughts? Anyone has a Multistrada 1100 eeprom dump? Any multistrada from 2007-2009 would do.

Well, the problem is fixed. Seemed like indeed I corrupted the first page. Put the info from 1000 and now tacho works nice.

Cmon guys, there has to be a Multistrada 1100 dump out there. I want to make sure the first 16 bytes are good on my dump. I used the ones from 1000. Bike is ok but I don't want surprises :)

The sendspace dead link was from a 2008 multistrada. 2007-2009 were only 1100. So any from those years would do it. Preferably 2008-2009, but I'll settle for anything :)
I'm having some issues with the dash, and 2008-2009 solved them. Might be the eeprom data, since missing some part of it messed with my tacho behavior...
