Hello all,

I have virgin a donor dash with abrites on 2014 A5 and now need to read load gateway flash.

Anyone can help in location of gateway in vehicle and what chip do I read flash from?

Is the gateway the J533 ? Module cause I keep reading different on this, says its a audio gateway and others say its can gateway for diagnostic

If so what chip to read flash?

MCU or some eeprom if exist, check if you have some eeprom on PCB ?

I do, but I thought Avdi asked for flash file

Customer has taken vehicle for now, I will have next week.
I just need to rear flash from this gateway and initialize cluster and I should be ok. I hope

And my xprog not working.... I have software from xprog and hardware is Chinese.... hardware failed

Mate, really you don't understand. For CGW, eeprom is enought for CP. 95640/25640
If AVDI report that is a bad file maybe is corrupt or unsupported version of CGW.
Thrust me, been there, done that.

Another thing, if you read 95640 with Wellon, be careful because this sw save dump with another extra 16 bytes.

Well it was a 25640 and I don't know if I read as 8 or 16
Maybe this is my problem?

Sorry to hijack the thread , but yesterday, I have here one A4 b6 from 2002 130PD , and FIS is not display info !
If I conect VCDS and make activation test, the LCD show info , but if I turn key off , it goes "blank" monochromatic light
dash is VDO 8E
And I got CAN BUS error from engine ECU and HAVAC clima !
Any tips ?!

Possibly Gateway version not supported. If late version 2013+ B8.5 platform, that would most certainly be the case.

I have audi a4 b8 B&O amp need remove CP but I rty with FVDI and get error, I try read eeprom can gateway with car prog and xprog m, but nothing ..... maybe in cangateway possible disable component protection?

Hello, it seems that our coleague left without feedback. A lot of can gateway modules are making problems in VAG cars...
I suppose he changed the RNS and needs to update the can gateway module...
