Hello mates. I have Mini Cooper S 1.6T on Med17. Old ecu damaged, I have second hand used ecu, the same numbers, and want to clone it or get ISN from ecu dump and modyfing CAS dump to set new ISN them. First, please help me to get ISN. ECU read using KTag.

Use AVDI or Autohex, all over OBD and you will need working key to decrypt ISN. You must change ISN in CAS and align DME-CAS-ELV to get it working.

As far I know it is NOT possible to do that without car, but maybe someone knows more and can point in right direction.....

From cas it is possible to get ISN/SK with working key but from ECU only by OBD...

So, if i have new ecu, these dump I read is not usefull for you to sync? The most important thing is read Motorola mcs12 0L15Y, or something more?

Temporary i can't read it via upa... But i think it is computer issue, because in another laptop upa read mcu's but on actually used laptop still have errors. So i will try soon read it and send

Test back on the car after you try it to read with upa maybe you need an dump for cas also. You need better tools to do this. Like colleagues said above.

My Colleague send me immo off dump for this ecu, not sure is good, but we try. Then CAS maybe will not nescesery for car start...

Hello mates. I tried to write immo off file to tc1766 but ktag said "error in writing". What could i do wrong?


Edited: sorry, restart of k-tag software helps and write immo off complete. Now will see if works.

May be you need to align DME-cas-ELV to start the car!!!!
