Cas3 change settings from manual to auto

Hi is it possible to change the cas settings to auto from manual , the car only starts if I put it into N wont start in P ?Tools available are fvdi and maxidas pro , thanks ,regards

yes it can be done go to cas 3 via the menu i think 40 and go to coding and bij transmission set it op automatic

Now I am stumped , changed cas settings to auto , added automatic gearbox in vehicle order still only starts in N please help, thanks ,regards

HI,

Check your shift cable adjustment. I had same problem, car starting in N and not P. P gearshift position didn't correspond to P gearbox position.

do you get the P symbol on dash when its on parking?

you will also need to reprogram engine ecu to recognise that it is auto . best way is to change vehicle order remove option for manual transmission and put auto option. the re-code all car and update engine ecu with correct software number.

just add auto transmission to car's VO and then code cas...

Still not winning even after all of the above , P on display, added auto ,when put into N it starts then shift into P without taking key out it starts in P ????
